Like if the redskins win the =ir game before the election generally the incumbant wins.  I am obviously routing for the redskins over GReenbay.

No correlation. In 2000, AL won - R won. In 1992 and 1996, AL won, D won. in 1988 NL won, R won, but in 1984, AL won and R won...

ETA: Since 1908, A Republican has won 9 times if the AL won. Dems have won 7 times if the AL won.
