What the heck is the point?

Hey, ouch!  Stop shooting me you ass hole!

A BB gun probably causes more damage.  A BB is 4.5mm

Why?  Because it's there... I'd love to have one.  By the way, the ME of the 2.7mm Kolibri is somwhere around a whopping 2 foot pounds.

Asking why this was made, is like asking why the tourbillon action exists in high end watches.  It's an outstanding achievement, even if it's not really necessary...

that sort of thing dont suprise me, around that time everyone was in a sort of fever to be the ONE to make the smallest or most advanced (insert object here)

Reminds me of a story i was told a while back,

Way back when sometime around the early 1920's. Some American company thought it was king of the tool and die biz. So it decided to poke a bit of fun at its closest competitor (some German company) about who could make the smallest drill bit.

So the American company makes this really tiny drill bit and sends it to Germany. A short time later the drill bit is sent back to the American company with several smaller holes drilled through that really small drill bit.

Ballistically they are equals. Remember, the size of the round doesn't matter, it's shot placement!

Again, I'd take that over ANY 1911 you offered me... barring Castros which is housed in a local museum...

This hobby would me more rewarding to many of you if you simply did not have to judge everything by 'tactical' or not.

The Kolibri is flat out cool...

Because compared to a 45, a 9mm is clearly the same as a round a third the size or less.

If I remember correctly, it was used primarily for "parlour shooting." I still need to find out what that is, but it's probably something like target practice in the lunch room while on break.

Do you prefer big ol' pancake nipples, or little quarter size nipples?

Include 9mm or 45, or 3mm or 2.7mm in your responce so we can see if there is a correlation.

Because here at ARFCOM.  We are all about science!
