Had exact opposite experience going from SBC DSL to RoadRunner. I think there are just a lot les folks pluggin up the pipe out where I live. Glad to hear you're seeing an improvement, though. Rock on!

Just tested mine (Charter Pipeline cable) for kicks:

you must have had very shitty cable lol...my cable at home smokes the DSL here at the office. I got over 500kbs on a d/l the other night...best I ever get here is around 150.

I have both cable and DSL. My cable connection is way faster than DSL. 3x FASTER!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like your cable company was skimping on the feeds. Cable should be significantly faster than dsl, although except for big or bigger downloads I doubt many would notice.
I went with dsl as the cable boneheads around here can't successfully supply a one way TV signal let alone 2 way communication. |
