what is the point of posting IBTL. Maybe if you're actually going to write something in addition to that but I see it just by itself. Why?

It's simply a way for post whores to add to their post count. Everyone here knows that the only people who have any knowledge on any given subject are those with high post counts. Therefore, they gain their "knowledge" by padding that count by any means necessary.
