thats sounds lik fun , I have only shot them from the prone and they are fun.
Too bad the saw isn't as tough as the 240! |

The think about the SAW is that if its not Military issued one or if its new they are good weapons. One of the 0311 had a new SAW over in Iraq and it was great never jammed he was pissed when he had to give it up. |

Cool! I got the chance to fire the M60E3 from the shoulder when I was in the Marines. I had a similar experience to yours. I didn't get nearly the recoil I expected, but then again, that sumbitch was heavy...something like 21 pounds IIRC. Glad you got to play a little!

tayous1: I'm glad you got a charged out of it.
I had a chance to try a real M14, 3 rounds in the mag, 1st shot hit the target, 2nd above and 3rd shot way above the target. No wonder they don't get people keys to make M14s full-auto, you can't hit anything after the 1st shot. Stay safe. |

now...for your next trick...try the 1919a4 with a 12" bbl. in 8mm mauser, running 1000 rpm...HANDHELD! woohoo! full auto is fun!

Use shooting from the shoulder was not a "Standerd" type training but are CPL wants us to beable to use the 240 anyway we can and if we do patrols and someone shoots at me I now know I can shoot back at them from the shoulder.

Not yet we where told that we be doing a lot of foot patrols this time so I want something that will not be uncomfortable. |

1000 rounds would not last long! Imagine what the cost of ammo is for the US in Iraq.

The first war I was the ammo man I carried around 1000 to 1200 rounds in my daypack the gunner carries about 100 to 500 rounds. At 28 lbs the 240G is not that bad to patrol with thats with the new handguards and the new sights. |
