That about sums it up.
Their liberalism was legendary. I stayed away, except, of course, when the brigade would simply walk across their campus on the way back from football games.
Back during Vietnam, local lore has it that some St. Johns scumbag hippie puke POS jumped out in front of one of the company commanders while the Brigade marched to the football stadium, and procceeded to berate the guy for being an imperialist, baby-killer, etc.
Well, the company commander supposedly grabbed the guy, spun around, and shoved him into the company formation, which is made up of about 120 Midshipmen.
When he finally managed to emerge out the back end, the message had been sent: don't mess with us as we march by.
OWNED!
The generally hold us in complete contempt, seeing as we are the evil opposite of their elitist snob mentality!
Well, we're elitist snobs, too! But we're not liberal, so we're right!
ETA: St. John's is supposed to be an EXTREMELY difficult school within the Liberal Arts colleges. They supposedly REALLY drill the classics, philosophies, etc. Unfortunately, your ability to qout Foust is of little value when looking for a job...
