Anyone that wants to knock down anything to a lower level in order for everyone to "just like everyone else" is a fucking socialist. The human race would still be living in caves and hunting with sticks if we had that mindset.
Fuck these asswads! I'm getting sick and tired of calls for us to "lower ourselves" to everyone else's level. Hey, try this on for size... why don't you RISE to become more than you are now? Or would that be admitting that there is something better, or would that REALLY mean you have to admit that you've gone as far as you can go as a people/nation? I don't know about Cambodia, but I believe the limited firearms confiscation that took place in Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union were mostly "voluntary" surrender. I would have been completely impossible for the Soviet Union to send government agents/police to confiscate firearms from people across their entire territory. |

It is rare for any country to send the troops out collecting guns, they make it so dificult to own the guns that the owners are either unwilling to deal with the inconvenience of keeping them lawfully, or to scared to keep them unlawfully. The guns aren't taken for the most part, they are turned in, or the owners are ratted out, and all the while, the newspapers and radio comnetators are telling the sheep that it is a great thing, that they should be happy to have those guns off of the street, and that is exactly how it will happen here, there won't be a huge battle or troop deployment, there will be little red trailers in front of the firehouse, that you will deposit your evil guns into.

"They" won't have to use force. Just lies, coersion, & public opinion, etc. Most people talk a good game but what are you going to do when they turn your kids against you, take your property, job, alienate you? The only way we can keep our gun rights is to educate, legislate, and stick together. There is really no place on this planet you can "get away" if "they come after you and your guns." We must never give an inch, because any ground lost is damn hard to retake!

Outstanding example! Canada's Gun Registry has had a 400% cost over run, and is a complete failure! I have heard numerous stories of Canadians who have taken unregistered weapons to police stations begging to get arrested in hopes that they can spur a challenge to the Canadian gun law in the courts. The police just tell them to shut up and go home. |
