I've seen one of those at a kite store at Ocean Shores here in Wa. The thing was selling for over $1K!

for that price i'd spend a little more and get a real bullet hose. Thrust per squeeze just isn't the same with rubber bands.

Being a pisspoor marksman, my main reason for having firearms is making noise, rubber bands do not make enough noise.

You can buy a Sar-2 for that much....Slightly more effective than rubber bands. Although you can get South African Rubber-Band Battle Packs for a lot cheaper than 5.45....

i think i may build one the plans are only $29 plus you get the firing parts.
it will give me something to do over the winter.

But seriously though, minor hijack, what would it take for a person to make a modern rendition of a Gatling Gun, complete with 6 rotating barrels, but belt fed 5.56?

It would still be legal, because it is a single round fired from a single barrel. Someone once told me that hey had the plans for a Gatling gun, but never came through. It's too bad, I was thinking of doing one in 12 guage.
