His death sounds fishy since he's been this way for about 15 years,.....
I don't think he was that selfish, he gave many hope and I don't think he would let them down that way.
Hhe's been this way for 9 years, and its not uncommon for people with his condition to die prematurly.
Who thinks he committed suicide? Probably the same fools who think he's been a quadraplegic for about 15 years. |
The bigger question is whether Kerry will over-play his death ala Wellstone and just turn people off.
I believe he will. |
"Yes", and "I hope so", in that order..... |
How does a quadraplegic (he could barely move one index finger) commit suicide? |
Yeah, Kerry will over play it. He will blame the President for killing Superman, and most people will think its way over the top. Its sad that he died, its sad he was injured in the first place, but its no ones fault and certainly nothing political should be gained from it. Let the family and his fans have their time of peace.
Yup I think that he most likely either hung himself or shot him self in the head.... Oh, wait... HE COULD NOT MOVE HIS ARMS. |
Yep. I believe the average life expectancy for someone with his injuries is around 7 years. Infection is very common. |
you get your wife or the maid, or someone to pull a mercy killing by upping meds or the like. |
That does not sound like suicide to me... Sounds like murder. |
I dunno, but I'll have to pick up some of the supermarket tabloids and get the scoop.
Or we could just let the poor guy be dead. |
he committed suicide, but only out of remorse for shooting down TWA 800 with a missle, which he did to cover up his involvement with the JFK assassination, which "they" did to cover up the fake moon landings that would take place a six years after they shot Kennedy.
IT all makes sense if you look at the big picture..... |

Who cares? |
who gives a rats ass?
As sad as this sounds I'm actually glad that after this week we won't have to hear much about him anymore. no-talent-ass-clown-of-an-actor |

Whats wrong with assisted suicide? |
My wife is a health care professional works with people in those conditions. She said that once confined to a wheel chair and without exercise, the heart muscle weakens and fails within a few years.
do i need to quote slim shady? "Slim, for pete's sake, put down Christopher Reeve's legs!" Geez! You guys are so sensitive. "Slim it's a touchy subject, try and just don't mention it..." |
Oh smack............. He knew that, He was superman. He did a lot of good for people with these types of injuries. |
No way!! This is AR15.com, after all. |
I am personally counting on the results of the research that he helped fund, and helped get funding for. |
Hey, the guy did good things after his accident. I went and saw him speak on the subject back around the mid 90's in downtown Baltimore. It's a shame that it takes most celebrities some sort of tragic accident before they start doing good.
By the way, has anyone seen the South Park episode where he played "Chris", the evil half of Christopher? Lots of laughs off that one! |
Impossible, Pai Mei teaches no one the Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique. |
Chris Reeves was killed by the same guy that did in Vince Foster
I understand he was in a coma as a result of a systemic infection... so how does that work again?
No, he had had so many previous infections that he was resistant to MANY of them, and when he got THIS infection, the anti-biotics couldn't touch it and it took him out. |
+1 |

that was messed up |
I can only hope that no talent shit bag will die soon as well. |

He was being treated for a compression wound (venous skin ulcer).
"A venous skin ulcer is a shallow wound caused by venous insufficiency, a condition in which the valves in the blood vessels are damaged and allow some blood to backup in the veins. The slowed circulation causes fluid to seep out of the overfilled veins into surrounding tissues, causing tissue breakdown and ulcers." They are very common for people stuck in a chair like he was. Paralyzed patients face simular problems as everybody else when it comes to sitting for long periods of time. Lack of excerise weakens the heart. Remember that reporter who died 2 years ago after flying all the way to iraq? The long term sitting cause the formation of blood clots in his legs and well you know the rest. His coma was a result of his heart attack, The infection weakened his heart. I'm pretty sure tho his wife under his direction pulled the plug on the life support. I'm sure he'd had the machines and death talk with her after the riding accident. |
That's the possesive. The legs belong to Christopher Reeve. What I want to know, was he related to George Reeves |
He had an electric wheelchair, he may have driven through a puddle. |
Typically called pressure sores, a VERY common problem for those confined to wheelchairs, bedridden, etc. |
