All anybody remembers is the media spin and which candidate "was thought to have won". I know who I'm voting for, and I'm tired of the race, so the debate has no entertainment value for me. I guess I'm also disgusted because Cheney so obviously outclassed Edwards, but it was not portrayed that way.

I'll spend my evening playing Counter-Strike:Source.

Counter Strike is pretty sweet but I like to watch the debate personally.

Ever notice that most liberals discussing the debate have only secondhand information like, "I heard that Kerry won and that Bush was almost near tears!"

I feel your pain, Kill-9. I am tired of the liberal media spin and all-out media attack on the president this last month. I will watch anyway--and I will have a bad weekend if the prez doesn't do some damage

I won't watch either.
I want to, but every one of the debates is scheduled for a time that I simply can't watch them
Pisses me off to no end because ALL I get is the media spin.

As far as performance, I thought Edwards certainly held his own.... although fell a little short. With regard to substance, I think Cheney won, but not by that much.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Cheney fan. I often thought it would be better to have him as prez and Bush as VP.

Unfortunately, a lot of people like the clean cut articulate presentation of Edwards.

I think the biggest point of the debate ( I was suprised Bush didn't make it in his debate) was when Cheney pointed out the Kerry/Edwards "majic thinking".... "wrong war, wrong time....... " but "I'll just talk all of the other countrys into sending their troops.

Kerry to world leaders - "Listen, I know this war is wrong and we should have never done it. I know our boys are getting killed for the wrong war..... but listen, I promised the American people that I would get you to help...... so, do you mind sending some of your boys to die in this wrong war so that I can look good?"

This is their answer? Boy, I sure feel confiedent that it will work. Finally, someone with an answer. - Bullshit! Hopefully the American people are smart enough to see this.

I don't know if I'll watch, or just go in the other room and mess around with my rifles.

The problem is that my yellow dog democrat father in law lives with us. He's a 72 y/o Korean vet with mostly conservative views, but an avowed Bush/Republican hater. (WTF?) After the last debate, we had some heated words about why we didn't wait around for the UN's blessing before invading Iraq etc. I filled him in that the UN is worthless--He countered w/ "well, what are they there for? I sez "I dunno" He figured he won that argument and went on to railing against Bush, and finished his rant by telling me "I'll NEVER understand you, SHIT ON YOU" Them's fightin' words to me and I told him so--anyway, I'll probably do something else to avoid beating an old man's ass

I'm not watching either.

I know who I'm voting for no matter what, and anyone that I watch it with sits there and screams at the television, so it's not like I can hear it anyway.

How about, instead of either watching the debate or playing your game, you call any friends, family members, etc. who might still be on the bubble and tell them exactly WHY you're not watching the debate, WHY you've already made up your mind, HOW you are voting and WHY, and then encourage them to vote likewise. Granted, I'm unfamiliar with "Counter-Strike:Source" - but I suspect that might be a more productive investment of your time.

I just hope that Bush holds his own tonight, because the debates aren't really aimed at the hard core conservatives or leftists that would vote for their man come hell or high water.

They are aimed at the 5-6% of the population who is politically ignorant. You know... the folks who can name the last three winners of Survivor, but who can't tell you who the Secretary of State is.

These ignoramuses are finally starting to pay attention to the election, and for them it all comes down to who has the slickest sales pitch.

It's really sad that the fate of the nation rests in the hands of ignorant, disinterested human cattle!

I can't watch the debates. I try. I watch for a few minutes, but then, when the "other side" starts to open its mouth I just want to throw the TV set out of the window (second floor) onto the driveway below. I'm too emotional. I just get upset. It's not worth it. I'll either end up watching some of the baseball playoffs or maybe work at my reloading bench.

I might or I might not. Like everyone I have other things to do. More importantly with the coverage in the air and on the net you'll be able to hear it again many more times over so, if the time were better spent doing something else well...

I'm pretty certain I'm voting for Bush, but...

Don't you think it's a good idea to watch the debates anyway? I mean... Is there anything that Bush could do wrong that would cause you NOT to vote for him?

Like I said, I'm PRETTY CERTAIN I'm voting for Bush. He'd have to really F up big time, and I'm not ruling out the possiblity that he won't.

I do however follow the thread(s) here as it happens. Get the info without having to deal with listening to that rat-bastard Kerry and his never ending lies and flip-flops.

It is Friday night. Take your son, or father, or whomever to a HS football game
and enjoy yourself and their company. That is what I'll be doing.

Hear, hear! I'm not going to watch this BS, I am going to watch some porn instead. It is a complete waste of time, because I know whom I'm going to vote for. I'm not one of those fence sitter who bases their vote on a 90 minutes of talk. I want my candidate be thoughtful and think thru all of the consequences of an action.
