I worked with some union guys in CO, alot of them were into guns alot.  Most still voted Dem though, even though they hated the UN, and made my gun buying look slack..

If you ask me, one of the things that makes our country great is the freedoms we have to purchase firearms in the manner that us law abiding citizens can.  Kerry wants to take that away from us.  Armed citizens are not subjects...

the right to own and CARRY arms is a serious right, it is a right as sacred that allows me to be Catholic, and allows my neighbor to be Methodist.

Most union guys I work with:

Like guns, hunting, etc.
Hate the UN and Euro Weenies
Religious or believe in people's right to practice their religion
Want to work hard (really, they do...sometimes)
Hate government interference
Want taxes lowered
Want the economy to succeed

But....

They vote Democrat becuase of their union membership.  I call them the organized Kool-aid drinkers.  Most of what they believe (and depend on) comes from conservative thinking.  They just happen to belong to a socialist organization that they have listened to and somehow believe that voting left means getting things right.

By definition union members are socialists.  Most of them that I know are the same as you describe - conservative leaning in their personal life.  But when it is beneficial to them (read union wages and protection), they are socialists to the core.  I can't stand it.

My dad is union and he's voting for Bush...he'd sooner cut off his own hands than vote Kerry, so there.

Of course he is!  He was also for the war, then he was against the war, then he said it would be irresponsible to not fund the war, then he voted against funding the war.  I'm sure depending on who you are, John Kerry will tell you exactly what you want to hear.

I am a UNION Plumber in Oregon. John Kerry can KISS MY ASS. Hell will freeze over before I vote for that lying sack of shit. Some of my union brothers and sisters have "Kerry" stickers on their vehicles. I make it a point to confront those individuals and educate them. I have successfully swayed a few votes from KERRY, I have also made some enemies. "How dare I not vote Democrat." Hopefully those that ended in heated debate will change their minds, when the little voice I implanted says "You are voting for someone that is Anti-gun, Pro UN and Pro-Homosexual. A vote for Kerry, is a vote against the 2nd Amendment and the Bible." I refuse to vote Democrat, solely based on their union affiliation. I will starve or work non-union before I give up my "Right to bear arms" or  support "Gay marriage". If somebody wants to be "GAY" great, do not push your lifestyle on the rest of society because your head is messed up!!  Unfortunately here in great state of Oregon, Multnomah County Commisioners have been handing out "GAY MARRIAGE CERTIFICATES". I have a feeling that their political careers will soon be over, as the commisioners did not take a "Public Vote" on this, they just enacted it.

I will not trade my "Constitutional Rights" or "Morals" for work. Unfortunately, the only other choices are Bush or Nader. !!Nader is out!!

George W. Bush is trying to shove the "PATRIOT ACT 2" down our throats. I would support the first "PATRIOT ACT" if the administration would have adopted policies congruant with WAR. If we are truly at WAR, then patrol and close the borders and stop the flood of IMMIGRANTS. This is a subject in itself.

No matter who wins the election, you will be giving up something. Sorry for rambling guys, I am very passionate with the direction this country is going. I am afraid for my children and grandchildren.

I tacked this up on the wall at my Post Office when I got it in the mail the other day.  I figured that it would be down within a day or so.  Still up after three days.

I know some sheeple who are too f-ing brainwashed to realize that voting for Kerry is a bad thing - the same people who loved Clinton then hated him and almost immediately hated Bush because they were told to do so by the media. If Kerry wins ( dont laugh) - there are a LOT of stupid people and MTV is on the Kerry board of directors practically - then we will hopefully have another Republican revolution in two years. I do NOT trust a lot of Americans - yes, I have no faith in my countrymen to, as a majority, do the right thing.

I had to tell some friends of mine (politically active 30 year olds!) that he was anti gun. They were shocked, and they are progun, and will probably not vote because Kerry is against guns, and they don't like Bush.

I'll believe Kerry is pro-gun when Rosie Odonnel becomes pro-diet.

My union (AFSCME) unfortunately endorsed Kerry. I get all kinds of propagand mail telling me to vote Kerry. I hate my union and the fact that I am forced to be in it! I will not be a "Kool Aid Drinker"

I'm still sick about the Ford Explorer I saw last weekend.
It had a Kerry sticker, next to an NRA stick, on the back of an SUV. WTF
