Its not wrong to break certain laws, but you can't bitch about the consequences.
ie, if you park in a no parking zone which ends up blocking the delivery truck, therefore fucking up my work day don't throw a fit if I punch out your window and roll the car out of the lot causing thousands of dollars of damage to it. |

Some laws should never have been passed, or even thought up.
Like every gun law. Like laws that prohibit activities that might be offensive to someone because of what they were taught during indoctrination by their religion. The basis of all laws should simply be this: No harm, no foul. If you can't identify a victim, someone who was harmed by the action, then no harm has taken place and the action isn't illegal. CJ |

It is immoral to criminalize moral, or non-immoral behavior.
Immoral behavior is wrong whether or not it's illegal. There are times when the moral thing to do involves breaking an immoral law. |

The test for any act is easy: "What would the world be like if everybody did this?"
=> Building NFA weapons without paying a bullshit tax == Not Immoral => Killing somebody to steal their wallet == Immoral => Driving 66 in a 65 zone == Not Immoral => Parking in a fire lane == Immoral Yep, it really is that easy. The relationship to what is legal is often nonsensical. I'm not going to go building any illegal MGs because the (unconstitional) consequences are too stiff. I'm not going to deny speeding, though. |

Your average joe can't pass a day without breaking one law or another unintentionally. Most of us speed or commit other minor traffic infractions intentionally. The sheer volume of legal code in the nation is insane, and the general attitude towards breaking the law reflects that. "No big deal". "No harm, no foul". Certainly would be nice if we had a legal structure that was at least marginally respectable. I won't even mention the legal SYSTEM

OK, here is my views. If you are caught, its on you. But there is nothing immoral about breaking the law if the same action would not be wrong in the absence of that law.

Nope. No offense to you, but I generally don't like the types of people who read that book. That's enough for me not to read it. As far as illegal stuff, it's only illegal if you get caught. Never do two illegal things at the same time. This way if you do get caught, you don't get busted for two or more things. |
