Should I sight her in. Its soaking in CLP right now. Its my first "new"AR. Any break in tips other than what's in the manual. Also, should I buy the 308 at wallyworld or go elsewhere. Sorry no digi cam for pics. It's HUGE, fixed sight very simple. Cost me only $1200!

use good ammo
if you run crap you will get bad results. like regular unleaded in an Ferrari |

IMO, this means it's not ready to go out of the box. The difference between match and standard ball should only be reflected in accuracy, not function. There is indeed some junk 7.62*51 ammo out there, but it's a small percentage. IMO, all Western European milsurp is just fine, but as said will not be as accurate as match ammo. |

Do what I did, load up some Milsurp into some magazines, fire away, repeat until out of ammo.

Congrads on your new gun.
You know some of those Winchester 147g FMJ white box ammo is steel jacketed with a copper wash. I was really surprised when I tested it. I've got to be really careful about that because of the EXTREME fire danger here in So. PRK. Take a magnet to some of that stuff, and see for yourself. |
