I had NEVER heard of Bushmaster until I was looking for an ARF.

I stumbled across this site and just asked the question what is the best ARF to buy. MOST everyone said Bushmaster... so there I went and got one.

THANKS!

This was many moons ago and due to my state's laws (either they change the laws or I move) it is my last one I will ever buy. I sure as hell wish I got involved earlier.

Anyway... what say you??

I was talking to my local FFL late last year and noticed that he had a bunch of AR-15 parts laying around. I talked to him about AR-15s, and he pretty much talked me into one. He told me that if I was adventurous enough I could actually build one. I thought that was hella cool. He told me building the lower was fairly easy, but I was not so sure (He has over 30 years experience, so of course it's gonna be easy for him!).

I remembered hearing about ARFCOM at another forum, so I decided to see what all the fuss was about. The first time I loaded up the site and looked around, I said ", this place has a lot of information!" After looking around here and asking questions for a few months, I decided to take the plunge and start on my first AR-15. I'm gonna piece everything together, including the upper. I already have it half-way done (only need the barrel assembly, rear sight, FA, and ejection port cover)!

I could not have done it without the help of this site and the people here. Thanks a bunch!

Found the site first...was looking for info prior to my first purchase.
Of course, because of this site, I couldnt leave good enough alone, and then spent probably a thousand bucks modifying my first AR
