In this situation the armed yanks pouring over the border would probably take over. What's to stop them?

More Hollywood. If something like that actually happened, do you honestly think that we, the ordinary citizens, would wait for permission from Mexico to cross the border? Christ, there's enough weapons owned just by the members here from Texas to take over Mexico!

Did you also notice that, as far as I remember, NO ONE had a single weapon during the entire movie? Granted, the thing with the wolves and the kids took place in NYC but jeez! I normally carry enough on me to take care of 3 wolves without too much trouble, provided I could get a few seconds to use it!

You can't tell me that, in an all-out disaster situation like that, people wouldn't be running around armed. I know I would, as would most here.

Over all, I thought it was a pretty good disaster movie. Not the best, but still pretty good, given typical Hollywood attitudes and all.
