WoooHooo!! Homeward bound from Iraq. Six months in Naziriyia
 last year followed by seven months in Fallujah  this year has made ChrisLe a very homesick and undersexed boy..Can't say I'll miss the daily rocket attacks anytime soon, nor those wonderful IED's the Iraqis leave as gifts on the side of the road..We begin the slow and tedious trek South soon and should be in the States sometime in October. It's been fun but I'm out of here.......Pics to follow when I hit the states as bandwidth here is equivalent to a turtle on quaaludes... Safe tour, Chris |

1st, Thanks. 2nd make sure you guys don't get sloppy because your getting short.
If you fly through Moron, Spain DO NOT buy the beer at the bar by the airstrip. Nasty and warm. made me puke. That and the Reeses peanut butter eggs and white cheddar popcorn. Either go to the exchange or the base club. Watch your ass out there. Sometimes you'd think they're trying to kill you. |

That's for sure. We're all on edge to say the least. It's too close to the end for us to be taking any chances. Any haji vehicle that gets within 500 meters of our convoy will get a rude awakening courtesy of Ma-Deuce....If they get too close and ignore the warning shots, all hell will break loose!......We've been through too much, lost too many good Marines, and have seen too much to let our guard down so close to the end. The last thing we're going to do is slack off. We're only now enjoying some downtime prior to moving out. Once we start moving the game faces go back on...... Safe tour, Chris |
