Read the note on the webpage about the ban. We need more comapnies like this.
Mark if your reading this, you just changed my mind as to which 50 to buy, thanks! www.serbu.com/ |
"Our goal is to use this crappy law as an opportunity to flood the state of California with far more .50 BMG rifles than would have ever gone there had this absurd law never existed... NEWS FLASH: In the first day after AB-50's passage we sold more guns to California residents than we normally sell in a month around the entire U.S.!!" |
It's impressive to see the .50 cal guys, like Ronnie and Mark, stepping up to the plate and doing what they can against all this anti-gun legislation being passed.
Hot damn!!!
Go for it! Gotta love firearms manufacturers with balls made of tempered steel. |
They have to register them, and Feinswein will be along shotrly thereafter telling them to turn them in.
Kudos for Serbu for the patriotic gesture!
Any bets on how long it will take for the Kali AG to sue Serbu to stop running that ad? |
Now that is the proper corporate response to changes in the law! Colt and Ruger should both take a look.
Good for Serbu...I think it is safe to say they are solidly pro gun!
SERBU!!!!
...that will be the battle cry when the great "gun ban war" begins. |
Shit now I have to cough up another 1000 bucks, Oh well Ill thank myself later.
Pessimism appropriate for a Steelers fan. |
I agree! These guys have stepped up to the plate, taken a firm grip and are ready to swing. Like i said, I will support that company in any way I can, starting with ordering a rifle from them. Group buy? CH |
I expect to see Mark at a shoot this weekend, I'll have to thank him for standing tall.
My gun dealer Larry at L&G Weaponry makes a .50BMG upper for the AR but I think this is the way to go. I kept telling myself I wouldn't buy one but now at the low introductory price of only $1195 for the receiver I'm just going to have to say "in your face" to Jack Scott, Don Perata and all the other girlie men pols.
Please do, and shake his hand for me would ya! CH |
Holy shit, I misread and thought you could plunk down 1K now, and then have it finished for a TOTAL cost of $1195. Lol. an $1195 .50BMG! I'm there!
Too bad I was mistaken.. heh. |
I had to read that again as well, but the part that interests me is the statement that they "are working on a lower-cost version which will be out in time to "beat the ban"." I'm definitely interested in seeing what's coming down the pipeline. |
Kudos to them I don't buy conversions myself. The upcoming semi looks intersting though!
One more time Kudos to Serbu! |
Shit, talk about balls!
Do you see Colt, Ruger, or many other companies stepping out like this and taking a stand? Nope. Good work, Serbu! |
She will be telling both of us then. She makes Fed Laws not state... |
Way to go Mark!!!!!!
I hope everybody in the state that had been putting it off due to the high price gets one. |
That will never happen. THAT is the one thing that just might be enough to turn Cali into Waco West....if they were gonna go that far they would have already with the registered AR's. |
Maybe we should start a donation "lending" fund where we throw money in a pot so AR15 members here in CA can get in on that Serbu down payment.
Lets say we have members send in $ and someone keeps track of the amount. AR15 puts in the down payment in a CA members name. Said CA member eventually pays back the "loan" and the money either gets sent back to the donators or maybe the donators give the money to Arfcom. |
Can Cali residents transfer registered guns to each other???? Do you have to be a Cali resident to register a gun there? |
I bet the new laws have done more to sell guns in Calif. then any thing else. When the Ca assult bill passed the local gun store was selling 500 ARs a week. One store had a sale and sold a 1000. There are many people that I know that did not want an assult weapon but went out and bought 2 just to have them. This new law will sell more 50 cals then were ever sold before.
Negative. Any transfer of an "AW" requires Ministry of Justice approval, which you can't get unless you can prove to them you have a "need" for an "AW"
The question is moot. Registration is closed. No new "AWs" can be registered unless you can prove that you "need" one in Californistan. I believe a non-resident would have less chance even that a resident. BTW - I passed that information on the the Cali Hometown board. You should see how it's playing on Delta Uniform - Leave cold please: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=118&topic_id=87402&mesg_id=87402 |

GAWDDAMN these boys are nice...
Put them on the future "buy" list - BG |
Hell, Ill shell out for a platinum membership if that happens. (just going for gold next week) CW |
People in free states please hold off until year-end so all the Cali prisoners can get theirs first.
Serbu kicks ass!
If I were so unfortunate as to live in Californistan, I'd take them up on their offer. Schwarzenegger has sealed his governor's fate. He will NOT be re-elected should he run. The gun owners of CA will ensure that. I hope he likes the idea of being a lame duck. CJ |
+ 5,000 Kick ASS! |
Hey CW, I hope that you can sell one of your cars and free up a grand for this deal. You need a 50! |
Nothing like a gun ban to make people get off their butt and buy guns!
Personally I think Clinton owns a bunch of AR companies. |
Ever since I purchased my Serbu BFG-50 people have always made fun of how it looks and such.... I take it with a smile always because I know how it performs. I re-zero'd it this last weekend ( sub minute-of-angle group ) at 100 yards.
After reading this I am damn proud to be a Serbu owner ! Three cheers for Mark Serbu ! I have never met him but would be honored to shake the hand of a true patriot. Sincerely, Tim Duncan BFG-50 #18 |
mighty fine idea. i would participate. uwp . |
What did Ruger do? How about Glock and S&W? |
Gee, does Ruger make a .50? |
awesome! good for them! we need more gun manufacturers like these guys!
Cold_Warrior, and others
as I said in the other Serbu thread... If you can't afford their deal... Or an AR upper.. Buy an AR single-shot lower and register it as a .50 Or do they need you to show them a whole gun? |
Am I reading the law incorrectly? I didn't see a specific caliber registration, but they are now lumped in with all of the other AW's listed in the Roberit_Roos law.
Suh-WEET. Salute to Serbu.
And I came across this sentiment some time ago, in a Welfare debate, and it fits PERFECTLY again - "Is there ever ANY Liberal Program that doesn't achieve exactly the OPPOSITE effect?" |
AMEN!!!! |
I knew I wanted a .50 after I saw one being shot. I looked for a good while before settling in on serbu. I called him and he actually answered the phone and talked to me for a good while. He is one of the most upstanding people I have ever had the chance to do business with. I am a proud BFG owner and will purchase a SEMI BFG as soon as they are available. Adam BFG #503
No, but they sure do bend to the opposition's whims. |
