I never could justify spending $1500+ (sheesh I saw them as high as $2200) for a "preban" AR just to get a flash hider and telestock.  Every time I saw one I just thought in the back of my mind "I'll just get wait until the ban expires".  Who else thought the same thing?

It had to expire. Today is my birthday. Talk about the greatest B-day gift of all! 2nd greatest is the two stripped lowers my wife bought for me that I pick up at my FFL next week!

I freely admit, I didn't think it would sunset. I hoped it would, but didn't want to count my chickens before they hatched.

I also now admit (happily) that I was wrong.

I sold my two pre-bans about a year ago.
I got more out of them than what I bought them for.

Wish I still had the Colt SP1.

I am still stunned that our masters let this thing sunset.

On the other hand, I am pretty sure that the democRATS are actually glad is sunsetted also... so they can use it to beat up on republicans as an issue for the election.

I knew when we killed 1806 back in march that we got it.   Sucks for 1806 but it was necessary

I was confident in November 2002 when we put pro-RKBA politicians (primarily Republican) in the House that the ban would sunset.

I started offering $100 bets to doubters at that point; but only one person wanted to take me up on it.

I am just as confident that if we put pro-RKBA politicians in the Senate this election, we will not see any real chance at another ban until after the November 2006 elections at the earliest.
