Just wanted to let you guys know that another old veteran has passed.

He lied about his age & enlisted in the Marines when he was 15 (he was a big guy), made it through boot & then got pulled out before being shipped overseas. He served in the Airforce in Korea and in the Army in Vietnam (never told me why he skipped around so much). He was a tough, mean old coot but finally fell to cancer. My wife was there this morning to see him & his pastor came by & they all prayed for him, around an hour later he died...

Sumo2000, I am surely sorry to hear about the death of your Father-in-Law!

It certainly sounds as if he had a full and wonderful life, though, and his service to our country can never be forgotten!

I will remember your family in my prayers tonight.
