Name her "Sadie", for some reason she just looks like a Sadie to me.

It is better to name dogs that are percieved by the general public to be dangerous more soft names like Sadie, Belle, Piggie, and Hansel. My 2 Rotts are Hansel and Belle and my pit is named, "Piggie". It is better than naming her something menacing sounding.

It seems like every idiot at the dog park who has a pit bull has named it, "Kane" or "Chaos" there was even one dip shit who named his two pits, "Felony" and "Misdeamenor".

What's that thing sticking out of her butt?... Oh never mind.

lvgunner777, that's just what I thought when I saw her. If not Sadie, at least something starting with an "s".

The one and only.

Plus Mrs. Wedge and I hope to someday get a couple of German Shepard’s and name them Boba, and Jango.

Our current dog is named Ops. (no realation to the Ops who posts here)

Hendrix is wining?!?!?

I mean sure he will be able to play great music, but that dog will die at an early age from drugs.

Kevin,

I faced the same dilemma when I went to name my youngest cat... I let HIM "decide"... how? I wrote the various names I kinda liked (All I can recall NOW are Taig and Benoit and Tiernan - he chose "Tiernan" ;) then got his "attention" threw all the wads of paper w/a name apiece wriiten on them and the one he "grabbed" ended up being his name :) (This may be easier w/cats... still, a puppy's bound to show SOME interest ;)

I always wait until I get to know the dog's personality and choose a name that fits.  Our first German Shepherd really took to my wife and instantly became her 'shadow'.  Now, Shadow isn't a bad name for a black cat, but doesn't really fit a 110 lb GS.  We looked up 'shadow' in a few other languages and came up with Kaja.  (Japanese for shadow)

2nd GS was a freakin HUGE monster with a very gentle disposition...slept most of the time until somebody came to the door...then he came UNGLUED.  I thought about it, and Greek mythology had the Titans before Zeuss took over.  Story goes that they're lying dormant until they rise and destroy the world or something....it seemed fitting for a 130 lb pooch who goes from zero-to-HOLY SHIT in nothing flat.

3rd GS pissed all over the rug while eating my shoe.  I started yelling, tried to say DAMMIT and got tongue tied...came out DANTE....seemed to fit!  (he turned out to be my favorite)
