I've been snooping in the DU'ers gun control debate area like I do sometimes, and came upon a thread on what to call new rifles after Sept. 13th.   Along with the usual antigun poop, I came across one poster
suggesting Homeland Defense rifle.   Cheese to the other extreme!

How about calling them "rifles"? sounds apropriate to me.

Because you cannot be against Homeland Defense Rifles without also being against Homeland Defense!

That is why I coined the phrase "Homeland Defense Rifle" over at assaultweb some 2 /12 years ago.
