After the time and money invested in building it, I'd be too afraid to ever fly it.
Because I would probably end up with the same result.

They should have at least had the sense to fly it in ideal conditions instead of a nasty stormy looking day. You could tell it was in trouble as soon as it took off in the crash video.

Damn! While I love the B-52, this fella likely had more money that brains! That sucker cost far too many $$$ and was at a high risk for such a fate. An investment for hobby that expensive needs to have much better sturdiness. LOL.

I alwya laugh outloud when I see this footage.  There are very few model builders who could run 8 turbines successfully for any period of time.

This guy is not one of them.

So there I was running my RC car, and I had to fix it.  Well they had all the ground freqs in use for the heat so I slipped in  A/C only crystals for about 5 minutes..  Then 15 minutes later out of nowhere there's this lunatic chasing me with an axe.  So, how was your Labor Day Weekend? Do anything exciting?

( Used to do some R/C scale boat and ship modeling in San Diego. One guy, more money than sense, and he used to let folks know he had enough money to do what he wanted, always used aircraft freqs so he wouldn't have to share time.  The club went up to Poway or Rancho Bernardo for a show.  Literally had some a/c boys drive up and threaten violence.  Got a real nasty nasty-gram from the FCC a few days later.)
