PRE BAN = BEFORE CLINTON
BAN = DURING BAN
POST BAN = THE WICKED WITCH IS DEAD.

All Postban's are now called bans and after Sept 13, GOD willing; new ar's are called post bans. What do you think?

Keep the ban as a reminder of what we once lost. It's not to be used to identify certain years anymore. Soon it will be over and we'll be left with AR variants.

Pre-bans are now known as "New York coupons".

You send me your old pre-94 ar15 and i'll send you a brand new bushmaster.

It's like a coupon for a new gun.

The problem with trying to change the meaning of "post-ban" is that then the next question will be: "Do you mean post-ban as in a neutered firearm, or do you mean post-ban as in a gun made after the ban sunsetted?".  A new term is needed.  "Pre-ban" will still have a meaning in some states with local AWBs, so I think "post sunset" is the best term.

I like "EBR".

I've used it so much that it's part of my vocabulary and rolls right off the tongue.

How about we don't call them anything?

After September 13th, legally the AWB never happened and I, personally, don't want to be reminded of it. Nor do I want other people confused that anything is banned. If you say, post-ban, you'll still confuse people and I would rather just say, "That thing is legal and you have nothing to worry about."

How about we just keep a more watchful eye out and never let it happen again. Um-Kay!

Whoever it was that said they should be called "Weapons of Mass Construction" in a different post a while ago still gets my vote. Got a good laugh out of that one.
