Joe Biden has been mocked after posting a photo of himself sitting alone at a dining table in The White House complete with a flaming cake to celebrate his 81st birthday.

'I turned 81 and all I got was a new social platform! Thanks for the well-wishes, folks,' Biden wrote as he made his first posting on the social media platform Threads.

'And to the workers at the birthday candle factory, I hope your union got you overtime,' he quipped, as the cake appeared to be engulfed in flames.

Whoever thought that was a good picture to share needs a new line of work.

The composition is terrible and technically it just looks bad. Also, I'm not sure that the chinese factory that made those candles gets overtime, let alone has a union.
