Which is a better shooter, handier, more tactical, etc. etc.....
Other options added for color.
price limit is set at 500, so take your uzis and hk's elsewhere.....
not interested in AR uppers.

Toss up between PC9 and Storm
Both share pistol mag interchangeability
Storm has more tactical options
PC9 is more durable IMO

PC9's are pretty heavy for a pistol caliber carbine. Also the pistol Mag interchange is irrelevant to me since I would never own a Ruger semi-auto pistol. At least the Marlin takes S&W Mags. And the Kel-Tec will take S&W or Glock Mags.

CX4. Same saftey/mag/slide release locations as a 92FS pistol and the same magazines.

takes my Glock mags, sports a single point sling and a forend rail flashlight --- and rides in a briefcase in my trunk. Can't do that with a Storm

BTW, I've read several threads here about Storms KB and parts falling off.

looks kewl, but I don't buy a gun for looks. Mine (KT) is 100% reliable with HPs and allows me to make very clean head shots at 25'.

Buy the KT and accessorize it and buy lots of ammo.

I vote for the storm. I have one and am really happy with it. Its light, and has a ton options you can put on it. The only thing I don't like about it is the mag release. I find it kinda hard to get to it one handed. The thing field strips fast and easy, pretty much nothing to it.

If Ruger had designed the front handguard area like Beretta did, where you could attach Pic.rails to mount lights, lasers, pistol grips, bipods, etc., they would have made their rifle more versatile. You can get rails that will allow mounting of optics on the receiver, but I don't know what height they are in relation to the standard sights or the ghost ring design they have.

I don't know what optics the stock Beretta sights will co-witness with.

I would take the ruger PC9, because it is rugged and reliable and has a conventional stock, I dont like the thumbhole stock design on the Storm.

the ruger pc9's stock just "feels" more natural and points and handles faster than a thumbhole style

I dont need any special rails because I like to keep the rifle simple with the factory "ghost ring sights"

the PC9 is a short handy rifle that feels similiar to a US M1 carbine except heavier.

I definitely prefer the Cx4 because its quite rugged and reliable. It has a well balanced thumbhole stock which makes it handle fast and accurate.

I like have the option of attaching accessories on the rails. Some carbines don't give you the option.

Also, the CX4 is lighter than the US M1 Carbine.

Howabout that Oly 9mm ar15 that uses glock mags? Looks alright and the mags are easy enough to find.

Everything yall said bout the pc9 is dead on....
I had one and sold it, that's why I want another.
Pretty much a perfect replacement for the m1 'cept that there are no pistol grip stocks available cuase the hammer and trigger mechanisms are part of the stock. BUT she is very accurate, simple to clean, feeds anything but wolf, cheap mags. Only thing is she's heavy as a mofu.... I didn't like that in a 9mm carbine. Also the trigger pull felt like it was .0000001 Lb.

I'd take the Beretta...it's the best of all the choices listed.

Bill Ruger caved to the Anti's and agreed to some of the restrictions in the AWB to protect the Mini-14. Fuck Ruger...

I use Scherer 33 round mags and they function great. Got them for around $55 or $60 each from Sportsmans Guide last summer.

PC9 is the most durable out of the mentioned choices. Because of that, it gets my vote. O'yeah, and cheap mags too.

Of the firearms listed, I have the hipoint, it rides around in my scout when I'm out on the property working,etc. Reliable as hell,ugly,but cheap $150. I have never had any trouble with mine and its had 1k rds of cheapo wolf run though it. An excellent beatre gun. Then again so is an sks.

Its between the Ruger and the beretta for me, guns are the only thing I prefer to buy American so the Ruger is my hands down choice. The lack of ability to mount weaver style mounts and shit is a problem though, I don't know what I'd do if I needed that sort of thing. The Beretta does also have a plastic hammer, maybe not so ideal on a GUN!

+1 on Kel-Tec Sub 2000 because I have one and I love it. The 30-round Scherer mag makes it even more fun. But I really want a Storm!!! (drool)

sub-2000 is out of the question. while I don't doubt ts handiness or portability, I would simply not be able to not laugh at myself when using it.
