Woman Gets 25 Years For Killing Father, Encasing Him In Concrete

A Bledsoe County woman has been given a 25-year prison sentence for her part in killing her father, stuffing him in a barrel and encased him in concrete.

Michelle Martin, of Bledsoe County, on Wednesday entered a guilty plea to second degree murder in the death of Michael Martin.

Authorities said in the incident two years ago, the father and daughter had argued. They said the daughter shot her father while he was sleeping.

They said her mother and her mother's boyfriend helped her put his body in a barrel along with the gun. They then poured concrete on the top and buried the barrel.

Pamela Martin, and her boyfriend, William Burchard, are facing charges of abuse of a corpse and being accessories after the fact.

The murder trial had been set to begin Wednesday in Bledsoe County Circuit Court.

Ms. Martin had led investigators to the victim’s body in August 2002. That was 10 months after relatives began asking questions about his whereabouts.

Take body, dump with heavy weights past the continental shelf, deeper the water the better. Lake Superior is another nice place, the water is so farking cold, bodies never float back up. Don't chart your course or keep a GPS reading either.

WTF did they use concrete for? That'll just make the whole mess so heavy that it'll be next to impossible to bury it yourself. Then, you'll have to recruit accomplices who might not understand the "shut up" part.

Nice fat hungry hogs, only problem they smell like shit. Why not a nice barrel of acid? And melt down the weapon with a cutting torch, or plasma if you need to be quick then throw it in the ocean on a fishing trip 5 miles out.

Don't forget to pic up your casings, also gotta be careful about that dna. So you gotta make sure your clean.

Bodies will NOT float up if you send them into deep COLD water, Cold water will prevent gas from forming by retarding the decomposition process (Why bodies don't float up in Lake Superior). Most ocean water especially a couple hundred feet down and deeper is extremely cold. The crabs and other ocean dwelling critters will make short work off all the flesh too.

J/K... I'd never do such a thing.

But I am pretty good at getting rid of corpses. When there's a death certificate, burial/interment permit, and a large check that comes with them...

Honestly I think just a clean public murder would be best, just don't get seen. Then just become a witness and say a black guy did it about 6ft tall with short hair, oh yeah he looked like he could have been a gang member.

Nix the shredder idea. There was a guy who did that and they nailed him from the pieces found in the river that he shot the remains into. I think they also found stuff in the schredder that he rented at the time of the crime. Deep water remains the best choice if available.

I remember reading about a similar case where some guy who got busted after returning the rental chainsaw that he didn't clean afterwards......

Might be the same case & I'm misremembering though.

How about getting a part time job at the local crematorium................

Take the body up to the National Forest.

Bury it deep.

Do it alone.

Get rid of the weapon the same way, somewhere else.

Get rid of the clothes worn during the disposal, and the shovel, too.

Completely wash the car.

And tell no one.

Ever.

Don't forget to warn about avoiding active Fishing areas or routes commonly used by Sub patrols.
