Saying you were in Cambodia is apparently the same as little kids telling their friends that they know Rambo or The Terminator, etc.........or like regular Infantry guys saying they were Rangers or regular Navy saying they were SEAL's -- apparently is was the cool thing to do -- or have done. That is the least impressive of their three ads in terms of impact... its strength is Gardner was there, and nobody can claim he wasn't close enough to see what happened. At this point its probably the smart ad to run as its not too controversial, its not in your face... it will reinforce doubts people have without seeming to pile on the unbelievable. These guys need to back off a little now.

I was on a secret SEAL mission in koretnam, during dub dub 2. can't give details though, and I don't remember the dates, it was in the 20th centry is all I remember. Edited for spelling. |

What a stupid ad and a waste of money! The Kerry campaign has already "corrected" that Cambodia issue two weeks ago saying that Kerry was mistaken and now say that he was near the Cambodia border. The media covered the Cambodia issue in depth and they got a concession out of the Kerry campaign. This particular issue is over. These guys are starting to seem desperate.

Funny. It looks like Kerry and his minions are the ones who are desperate...... As for being on secret SEAL missions, I was on one once. Parachuted out of a blacked-out 747 over Tehran back in 1998. My whole platoon was wiped out, and I was the only survivor, having wiped out a battalion of enemy special forces armed with only my good looks, charm, and a popsicle stick. I was awarded the MOH by President Clinton for the action, and still can't speak of the incident because...... DOH! [slaphead] |

The "media" absolutely HAS NOT covered the Cambodia lie. They glossed right over it and have focused almost exclusively on the stuff about the medals which is more murky and more easily suceptible to spin.
The media has also repeated again and again the non sequitor that "none" of the SBV guys was on Kerry's boat. Aside from the idocy of this statement (i.e., saying that the guys in the other boats when Washington crossed the river, or that a fighter pilot only "serves" with his co-pilot, but not his wingman, is absurd. Especially where the Swift boats were in 5 boat units. But in any event, this event shows that there is inteed a SBV who was on Kerry's on boat, who WAS there, and who verifies that the Cambodia stuff is false. The media has tried to keep this under wraps, and the SBV's are now ensuring that (a) America knows Kerry lied; (b) this horsehit about who "served with" Kerry is just spin; and (c) that despite the minimal reporting of Kerry's folks backtrack on Cambodia, the campaign has in fact acknowledge the lie. Finally, the Cambodia lie is a central one in the fabric of Kerry's character. He attributes spending Christmas in Cambodia as THE formative event that caused him to develop his policy positions on war and defense. And that whole story is bullshit. |

When it gets a little closer towards the election, I hope they explore his meetings with the North Vietnamese. Then show a little footage of our men rotting in the prison camps.
You know I was thinking it would be good to bitch slap kerry. But after thinking about it I believe his mom and dad need the bitch slapping. This fucker is so fucked up it points to bad raising. My dad would have personally killed me if I had fucked up a quarter as bad as kerry has. To disgrace my family name like he has, I would have taken myself out before looking my dad in the eye. |

i guessing the october surprise will be a quick look at kerry's book "the new soldier" (1971). it's the one with a cover showing kerry and a bunch of hippies with an american flag upside down. i understand it contains sections where he brags about the awards the north vietnam gave him for helping them win the war through his anti-war activism... kerry is reported to be supressing it's reprinting although it is avaliable online.
