Iraqi soccer team kicks Bush for using them to garner votes!

The Iraqi soccer team is not amused with US President George Bush's move of using them in his presidential election campaign advertisements.

Calling Bush a "killer", the players said that he should remove his forces from their country immediately.

"Iraq as a team does not want Bush to use us for the presidential campaign," the Daily News quoted Iraqi midfielder Ahmed Manajid as saying in an interview with the Sports Illustrated. "He can find another way to advertise himself," he added.

The Bush camp has been airing TV ads saying that Iraq and Afghanistan's participation in the Olympics is an example of democracy growing worldwide. Bush has also cited Team Iraq's impressive start in Athens as part of his campaign.

Iraq's soccer coach Adnan Hamad said his problems "are not with the American people" but "with what America has done in Iraq....destroy everything. The American Army has killed so many people in Iraq. What is freedom when I go to the stadium and there are shootings on the road?" (ANI)
