Not that kind of .50 tommyknockers...I already got one of those .50's. (Encore)

I'm talking .50 BMG.  Perhaps I should have specified that.

And BTW, if you're paying $250 for a CVA, then you're getting screwed.

I picked up my CVA at Bass Pro Shop last week for 145.00.  Have'nt shot it yet. Hopefully it's not a total POS. But for a 145.00 I'm not expecting a whole lot.

Go over to www.biggerhammer.net and snoop around. There are some damn good deals to be had on some single shot .50's.

The least expensive I have seen is the V50SS 101, 100 or 200 all wholesale about $1295.00.

Edit: I didn't see the Quality either...Usually cheapest mean crappiest that will work.

specs:

weight 30+lbs
overall length 59omfg"
barrel length 34"
rifling 1:15" twist

Ferret makes a cool 50BMG upper that snaps on to your AR15 lower. I THINK they are somewhere in the 1650.00 price range.

The cheapest is the Hess, now called Vulcan, at around $1200. Its cheap for a reason, sort of like a Lorcin. The best value for the money is the BFG50 by Mark Serbu at around $2200. There are about 10 companies making 50BMG uppers for AR15s now and they all run under $2000. Ferret, Safety Harbor, and Watsons are well respected in the Upper catagory.
