Did you see the police rifles? AR-15's w/o handguards. Intriguing looking.

I guess you could say that this is a History movie since it's taking place in 1997.  It was made in '81 so to them '97 was the future but to us it's the past.  Funny thing, NYC looks the same with the crime and all. LOL

I've always been a sucker for these early 80's SHTF kind of movies. By todays standards they're not all that good but back then they were da' bomb.

I think I  caught part of "Southern Comfort" one night a year or so ago.  Never saw "Band of the Hand". Remember "The Warriors", that was a fun one. The early 80's is also when "Red Dawn" was made.

LOL, the "government" gave him the weapons, they're the morons that did it. Better question, "Who'd mount a scope on a MAC 10?"    Still a fun movie to kill a Thursday night with.

Yep, that was in '97, they were still standing tall then. It still brings tears to my eyes and make my blood boil when I think of all the lives lost at the hands of those bastards.

Was this about the time that Russell did "Big Trouble in Little China."?  Also, remember he did "Solider" and "Tombstone" too, a couple other  good movies.

LIB, is that Ox Baker that he's going to fight. I remember watching him in the late 60's when he'd wrassel Dick the Brusier and The Crusher.

She's about the only redeeming thing about "Swamp Thing".   Heck, she still ain't that bad looking now.  She's been on Drew Carey playing Oswald's mom & was in the HBO series "Carnivale" <??> as the snake dancer.  Not too bad looking for her age.
