Made it 3 episodes before buttesecks, other fem fag stuff like boutiques, and then double suicide. I heard this was a video game or something and there were fags in it, but man why do they have to show bearded men making out, going to bed together, feeding each other strawberries, and doing butt stuff, killing themselves together, and something about a boutique.
Dude started out as kind of a badass survivalist, ended up being a pole smoker with HBO shoving their fem faggotry down everyone's throat. Disappointing. |

I'm surprised it took them 3 episodes to show faggotry. |

Damn what?
I watched the first episode and played both parts of the video games and dont remember any dudes banging in the first game with the most controversial thing being IF ellie was big gay or not. |

You should try Station 13. It is both, boring and faggotry laden.

I read this thread I hear inbred redneck voices saying things like "i aint come from no monkey!" and shit like that.
The characters were gay in the game. If you're not a closet homo concerned about getting a hard-on from this episode, it's really not about the gayness but about the lives of people trying to live through the end of the world, who just happen to be gay. |

Anybody looking for something to watch should check out Fauda, this seasons been good. No guys fucking, no wierdos, just a good show with normal people, makes you realize how abnormal the freaks here really are.

I simply pulled my phone out and fiddled around on it for like the minute or two when they were making out/in bed cause personally, thats a yuck from me, but can't imagine getting super worked up over it. |

Episode 3 was way ghey. Way too much man/Grindr love. I’m sure the post-infected world won’t survive with this much debauchery.

The 2nd game had some more lgbtq stuff going on with the confimation of Ellie being a lesbo. There was also the sex scene where the dude banged the wildabeast antagonist |

Quoted: Damn what? I watched the first episode and played both parts of the video games and dont remember any dudes banging in the first game with the most controversial thing being IF ellie was big gay or not. View Quote I'm going to crosspost from the other thread: I'm of three opinions here: 1. Druckmann gonna Druckmann 2. (Which is more show format) There really wasn't anymore "gay" shown than what would been there, if it was a straight couple. That said, I don't think it was the best use of that much screen time since it was episode 3 in the 1st season, regardless if it was a gay or straight couple. 3. (Story and Character related) On the other hand, a large part of the game story is Joel changing from this cold, uncaring father that lost his daughter, to legitimately loving and caring about Ellie as if she was his daughter. The good she could do as a means of redemption for the horrible shit he had done in the past. In his own mind, he believed he had many things to atone for and maybe Ellie could be that vehicle. That was never going to be an easy thing to translate to the limited runtime of TV using the interactions of only Joel and Ellie. The turning point for Joel really wasn't evident for a few more hours and further into the game. For the TV show, my assessment is that the expanded completely rewritten character story of Bill and Frank is an analogy of Joel and his (changing)attitude towards Ellie. It's mentioned multiple times both by dialogue and in the letter that Bill and Joel are similar(uncaring about the world until someone came along and showed that life, even now, could have more to offer as per the letter) . Tess's death and pleading to Joel to get Ellie west(similar to the game) the previous episode, changing Frank's note(in the game) to a letter from Bill to Joel and Bill telling Joel to use the equipment protect Tess. In the show, Joel standing outside with the letter is clearly indicating Joel having a moment of reflection/introspection about Tess. That even though he failed to protect her, Joel could still protect Ellie. Absent playing the game and paying attention to the story of Joel and Ellie, Bill and Frank in episode 3 really don't make any sense, nor really adds anything of substance to the story of the TV series. Trying to fit a major character point from a book or game into movie/tv format has always been a daunting task in screenwriting. For as hamfisted and kudos points from Hollywood this was, it probably makes more sense in the context of the TV series vs Joel just suddenly giving a shit Ellie like she was his daughter, out of the blue, in episode 4/5. I forgot to mention Joel's flashback to his daughter's death right before he beat the guard to death to save Ellie. So there were hints of that protective instinct, it just needed to be consciously realized by Joel, himself. Which was him standing out in the yard with the letter. I'm not a big fan of major rewrites like this, minor ones are usually fine. For example(in the game), in Boston Tess held off FEDRA troops so Joel and Ellie could escape instead of holding off the infected. Narratively, they are the same; Tess doesn't want to turn, she implores Joel to get Ellie west and sacrifices herself which Joel blames Ellie for. However in this case, in my opinion nothing was really lost(aside from an offhand remark in the second game) by the complete rewrite of Bill and Frank and with the proper use of flashbacks, like you said we now know how much Ellie means to Joel. I think that is a suitable justification in this case to accept it for what it is, even if I did literally roll my eyes and mutter to myself, "Made it to Episode 3 before the gayness started." |
|
It's one thing for them to have gay characters, which should be expected in everything Hollywood puts out nowadays. It's another to spend an entire episode showing the "love story" of two men making out and sleeping together. Add in the fact that they're not even long term characters but a blip in the story line. Once again wokeness and gayness ruins everything.
|
|
Well Damn!
I just finished the first two episodes last night and was enjoying it. Wokeism will be the death of us all, literally in a lot of cases as they ban fertilizer and energy, therefore food and warmth. |

I FF'd through that bullshit. Pretty pointless episode. At the end of it, it was just about the main dude getting weapons and equipment. They could have shown that in 5 minutes instead of wasting an hour of my time.

View Quote My wife & I watched it last night and didn't care for the gay aspect of it all but both agreed it was a decent episode for the reason you stated. It would be awesome to be able to survive like that for as long as they did but sucks that eventually you or your partner will be the limiting factor. Good for them for going out on their own terms though. Nit-picky gripes from the episode: Click To View Spoiler As a hardcore survivalist, you'd think:
1. Bill would have a protected vantage point to shoot at invaders. When the raider attacked he was out in the street exposed while shooting at them, and thus got hit. 2. He would've taught Frank to shoot as well to back him up. Frank seemed pretty useless in that area. 3. It would be better to consolidate the calibers of guns you have and stock up on ammo just for those instead of having a bunch of guns of different calibers. |

I don't care what two or three or six consenting adults do behind closed doors but it seems like every show now has a biracial transgender homo fury couple. I just don't think America has that demographic yet.

The source material's not much better. Neil Druckmann's a hack and he ruined Naughty Dog.
