They sent 5 guns and they're tapped out, did I read that right?

So, the USA is sending an astronomical $40 billion to Ukraine on top of the $30 billion plus we're sending to Israel this year and the Dutch can't be bothered to do more than send five artillery pieces?
Well, it's nice to know that our European allies are shouldering their fair share of the burden for a crisis in their backyard. |

The $40 billion was set to expire by the DoD and they were looking to replenish their stocks.

It is mind boggling to think about how armed the world was leading up to the world wars, and how disarmed it is now.
The Dutch had 700 heavy artillery pieces going into WW2. It seems like Russia, China, and us are the only people with arms stockpiles anymore. |

They are too busy spending all their money on social programs and settling refugees.

$30 bil to Israel? Where are you getting your figures from? Baghdad Bob? Psaki?

It’s a small country, with a small (and neglected) military. They probably do not have a lot of these pieces that are fully operational and deployable.
At least they did provide something that is useful and works (and not just old obsolete garbage). Why not be mad at the countries that aren’t giving anything? |
|
Well, they aren't obligated to help them. Just because we are dumping money and weapons over there by the billions don't mean everyone else has to.

This is about the self propelled artilery
Of the excalibur type I think we had something like 24 and gave 7 or something (don't hold me on those numbers) Dutch defence inside NATO is maily airforce and navy based so we dont have any tanks and only a couple of arty pieces. It's not like the USA that can do everything. |

Don’t worry the libs and z man chucks are ready to send pallets of cash…untethered by any sort of accountability.

Maybe go to the world bank and get a loan.
Buy some good stuff to hold them over for a few more weeks. I can send them some more canned goods so they can eat but with the inflation it will be a lot less than I could have before. Having a corrupt country and then getting attacked and not being able to tell the world why you are broke must suck. Hope Hunters job was worth whatever they got from it. Biden will be dead soon and Hunter will be counting that 10% |

Quoted: 20 billion of the 40 is dedicated towards military expenses View Quote There is the breakdown. I don't like 50% is allocated towards DoS and humanitarian efforts. That is where the skimming of funds is going to be, by US politicians and NGO pals all through DC and Europe. Very little is cash to Ukraine. A lot will be funneled back into the MIC. 25% to DoD to spend with the MIC 10% to EUCOM for missions 15% is direct war assistance to Ukraine (mostly weaponry, very little cash). |
