Nations generally don't start wars they think they're going to lose.
But our nation is run by fools, so.... Don't forget that the global elites you're talking about aren't the people running Russia or China. A lot of them would love a war right about now. They also don't particularly give a shit how the war turns out, since they assume that whatever happens they'll remain in power. |

In regards to American politicians being globalist you are correct.
But I'm pretty sure the globalists want war with Russia. They may also want the US and Russia to bleed. They may want to weaken both sides while strengthening China and ushering in the great reset. |

If this is how you think then the only question becomes.
Will everyone tolerate globalist leadership, leading them to horror, pain, fire, defeat and death? These lunatics have pushed too far by shoving Biden into office. If things get much worse than they are now Darwinian pressures start to come into play. You can't go into battle with a military that has to kill significant numbers of its own command staff in order to survive. |

Twilight of the Republic.
A society's "Will to Win" is the most important thing to possess in a conflict. It's more important than fancy tech or arms. I don't know how our politicians would expect the American people to have that will to win when the nation has been so deeply divided by them. The people on the right have little love for government and are certainly not going to be singing Toby Keith songs on their way to the recruiter's office this time. The people on the left think the USA is evil so it's going to be hard to motivate them sufficiently to get out of their safe spaces or remove the chips from their shoulders to go fight in a war they don't understand. A people can't fight united if they're not united by culture, ideals, religion, or anything else. Diversity isn't a strength when it's diversity of culture, thought, and philosophy; not in terms of fighting a conflict. There are no "universal values" anymore to rally the American people around, they've been discarded as racist or too Anglo centric. This is the twilight of the Republic, the end begins now.  |

I don't know, a major war right now sounds like an excellent way to deconstruct and destroy our traditional system so that the "progressives" running this country (into the ground) can "build back better".
It conveniently provides an excuse for the Biden regime to manifest even worse supply chain issues, inflation, et al .. and when inevitably we lose to the commies, (which they'll blame on lack of diversity in the military and muh white supremacy) the US will have no choice but to accept more even communist tenets from our newfound masters and overlords. It's lose-lose for American citizens, but win-win for the elites, the New World Order and Great Reset proponents. |

Russia has an economy about the size of Italy, and a military filled with corruption and incompetence. In a non-nuclear war, the US would totally and utterly wipe the floor with Russia.
That said, nobody is going to war to protect Ukraine. So the OP is correct about that. We are not going to war with Russia. |
