Good point. Russia has a lot of assets tied up there. And if get pulled out, Assad won't last a week and Putin looks bad - again.

I don't want this to devolve into an argument about federal, but I don't even necessarily mind paying more for ammo if it's available, but I rarely ever see it in stock, unless you sign up for their subscription service. Don't forget that Jason Vanderbrink also put out a video attacking consumers for "conspiracy theories" about them withholding ammo from the market. If it were any other company, I don't think I'd raise an eyebrow, but contextually given their other recent business decisions, naturally some people are going to have questions about it.

So you assume they have millions just sitting and not that maybe they are going to ramp up production for this order.  Either way it shouldn't matter.  I believe an actual war of freedom defending nations should get priority over some target shooters

The Javelin has about a 95% kill rate in testing.  It is being handed out to the most experienced Ukrainian troops and SF teams.  The regular troops get NLAWS and other ATGM's.  Supposedly the NLAW has an 85% kill rate when locked on and is simple to operate.   They have a metric shit ton of other tank killers as well.  They are not handing them out to citizens on patrol.

I'm not sure if they can ramp up production more than they already are, if you take the CEO's words as fact. I don't know. Like I said, I'm not mad about the donation itself. Realistically I'm in no position to boycott them regardless (not that I necessarily would), because I rarely ever see Federal around anyway, so nothing's changed.

How repugnant is buying oil from a terrorist state like Iran or Russia?

Yet our politicians pretend the environmental impact from drilling is somehow worse here than it is there.

Bluntly put, it’s either irrelevant in the short term or not enough in the long term.  I’d be looking to the former Soviet vassal states like Poland to break open their just-in-case stores of 5.45 and 7.62x39.  Those supplies are but a days trucking away from the front, no airlift required.

@Tboy

I take offense to this response, much like your continued criticism of everyday Ukrainians living their life.

I was born about 30 minutes from where you are, and I have several cousins and my half brother in the territorial defense teams in Lviv and 2 of the smaller towns. I have at 8 people in your area that are Ukrainian, and are plugged into a larger network of peoole.

I have people on the ground that can help, amd I am raising funds here, as well as having already sent a large shipping container of medical/humanitarian stuff last week, on the second day of the war, that should be arriving today or tomorrow.

I have reached out to you via email and PM, but since you're not sure about help, I'll take it somewhere else.

Sometimes the hubris in this place is ridiculous

A lot of people are saying it.

Elon might be able to make it happen.

There were reports of large numbers of Russian artillery that were not firing and had not relocated.  It is thought that they were running low on ammo and the supplies are not moving forward.  Another report estimated that many units would be out of food, fuel, and ammo at their currents rates by this Sunday.

Coups have consequences.
