A couple days ago a Russian unit dimed out their command to political leadership and were forced to record an apology video/retraction. Now the unit was rotated out, except for everyone who complained.
“I think they want to completely eliminate all objectionable people.” Marines from Pavlovka, who wrote complaints against commanders, (not) taken away from the front line https://zona.media/article/2022/11/23/pavlovka On November 14, it became known that the Russian military had captured the village of Pavlovka in the Donetsk region. "Mediazona" told how, shortly before this, marines from the 155th separate guards brigade stationed in Vladivostok complained to the head of Primorye about heavy fighting and high losses, after which they were forced to record a video with a refutation (the videos appeared on the governor's telegram channel) and left to storm fortified areas. Now the command punishes those who are dissatisfied by refusing to take them out of Pavlovka. In early November, marines from the 155th separate guards brigade wrote an appeal to the governor of Primorye, Oleg Kozhemyako, in which they spoke about the heavy losses that the command hides. The full appeal appeared on November 6 on the Gray Zone telegram channel : “Once again, we were thrown into an incomprehensible offensive by General Muradov and his countryman Akhmedov , in order for Muradov to earn bonuses before Gerasimovand Akhmedov Muradov promised a hero of Russia. As a result, we and the marines of Kamchatka are advancing on Pavlovka. As a result of the "carefully" planned offensive by the "great generals", we lost about 300 people in 4 days, killed, wounded and missing. 50 percent technology. This is just our team. The command of the district, together with Akhmedov, hide this and take the official figures of losses for fear of responsibility. Oleg Kozhemyako instructed the prosecutor's office to check the information, but did not rule out that "this is stuffing from the enemy." He then posted three videos, allegedly from Marines from the 155th Brigade and members of the Tiger Volunteer Battalion. On them, the military says that the battles are really heavy, and there are losses, but "everything is fine." The Ministry of Defense also claimed that the unit's losses "do not exceed 1% of the combat strength and 7% of the wounded." On Tuesday, November 22, a contract soldier from the 155th brigade contacted Mediazona again , who said that the military who expressed dissatisfaction were left in Pavlovka, while the rest were taken to the rear. The editorial cites his story: There were about 4,000 people in the brigade. It's not all the people who fight. There is a rear, artillery units and so on. In our BTG , this is plus or minus 500 people, which was constantly understaffed. There is not only one BTGr in Ukraine. In other sectors of the front, our assault detachments are involved. I have been in this direction for three months. There were fights every day, there were two dense days - November 9 and 10. For all the time near Pavlovka, about 450-500 people died. The response to the letter [to the governor] was not the way we expected. We thought that the command would change tactics. The letter was not written by me personally, but by a neighboring company. Refuseniks are threatened with criminal charges. I personally wrote a refusal, but my report miraculously disappeared. [November 14] Pavlovka was taken under full control, but more people were lost. Our command decided to make a circus. They decided that [the military] should be rewarded. In a word, they kept the shoulder straps for themselves, and for us, so that they do not arise, we each have a medal. Only we don’t fucking need them, the boys can’t be returned. Everyone is psychologically depressed. No one is celebrating, because a lot of boys died. I myself lost four friends in just two days. It just infuriates that the command does not think about people. They need medals, shoulder straps, and these bitches are ready to send people to certain death. They think that if they give us a medal, then we should forget everything and close our mouths, but they are mistaken, because their friends did not die, but they themselves are sitting in the rear in warmth. Now they are still thinking about something else, how to get the Hero of Russia and new stars for shoulder straps. The command decided to withdraw the brigade from Pavlovka. We were all very happy, but not for long. Not everyone will be taken out. Those who were most indignant, who wrote the letter and refused to storm, remain further in their positions, and those who did not conflict with the command will be taken to the rear for rotation. I remain, I did not hide my position. In a word, we still feel the consequences of the letter. They do not draw conclusions, but only punish. I think that they want to completely eliminate all unwanted people, and during hostilities this is not a problem, but even very easy. Once again I am convinced how much my life is worth nothing here. [We] are controlled by those who don't care about people, but not about their shoulder straps and reputation. It's very scary to realize this. They will never say [that this is a punishment], but think for yourself: after the letter, we were sent to storm, and then, miraculously, those who were indignant remain further in their positions, while others are taken to the rear. We all understand very well why this is so. 100-150 people are left, and approximately the same number is taken out - maybe more. We will not be replaced, since we received the task of strengthening the defense in Pavlovka and preparing for assault operations. We live in trenches and in houses that have more or less survived. The brigade is almost completely broken, they have already understaffed, but you need to understand that everything depends on those old servicemen who train the young, and therefore the brigade does not completely lose its combat effectiveness. Now, when we are gradually being destroyed and mobilized are being recruited, there is no sense in such a unit. There are a lot of mobilized people in the brigade, because the losses were heavy in Pavlovka. Weapons are mostly small arms. There are almost no heavy weapons. Tanks and other armored vehicles have been destroyed, and what remains is either only firing or only driving. Food is very scarce. We go, we collect in the cellars what is left. Basically they bring dry rations, and even then not always. Losses near Pavlovka alone were about 450 [persons]. For all the time of hostilities, up to 900 people were wounded and killed, but more than half of those killed. People are thinking of deserting, and I understand them and I myself think how to do it. I have always served the Motherland honestly and used to condemn this, but now this is probably the only way to save my life. I cannot understand why there is such an attitude towards personnel, if there are not enough people and they are mobilizing. Editor: Dmitry Treschanin View Quote ————————————————- Another unit We were thrown like meat to the ground... There was no preparation... Our kobmat refused us... We were driven through the forests for weeks... We were not provided with normal weapons... We were not provided with uniforms... We were not informed about where and why we were going... This is how we mobilized from Serpukhov complain about the attitude of the top military leadership towards them. So why did you go here at all? A lightweight plastic case and explosive blowing some media like ball bearings out sideways. Most of the time using explosives to blow pieces of metal has a longer lethal radius then flaming fuel. I think the optimum warhead would be a little heavier then what they are using, like a couple of pounds, but they're doing it about right. Weight needs power and power makes noise. Noise increases altitude and that decreases accuracy. |

https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/turkey-supplied-laser-guided-missiles-ukraine
Turkey delivered dozens of TRLG-230 precision-guided missiles to Ukraine in the early summer, two sources familiar with the issue told Middle East Eye. Developed by Turkish producer Roketsan, the 230mm TRLG-230 missile has high accuracy against targets within a range of 20-70 km, thanks to its global positioning system (GPS) and laser guidance. The TRLG-230 can be combined with multiple rocket launchers, known as MLRS, whose American equivalent, the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), has been very effective against the Russian forces in Ukraine. MEE understands that around 50 TRLG-230 missiles have been shipped to Ukraine, confirming what defence blog Oryx reported on Monday. One source said as many as 200 missiles could have been shipped so far. Orxy said in an article that the guided missile could be combined with Turkey’s famed Bayraktar TB2 armed drones, which could pinpoint targets for the guided missile and help successfully destroy them within a range of 70 kilometers. |

A few videos slipped out, they are basically assinations of Russian higher ranking leadership and FSB targets. View Quote This is what an international legion guy on Reddit said about them: "The Switchblade 300s are very useful, but you have to know when and where to employ them. The warhead is quite small, but the entire system is easily man-portable. It's not going to do anything against a vehicle, but against infantry in a trench it can be quite effective. The Switchblade 300's biggest strength is its range: 10km iirc. There's really no other system you can carry as an infantryman that can hit small targets that far away. When trench lines are 2-3km apart across completely open fields, this capability suddenly becomes very useful. Say, for example, there's an enemy ATGM emplacement 3KM away. That's out of range of Javelins, sniper rifles, most DJI drones, the Carl Gustaf...pretty much everything. But the Switchblade 300 can take out the crew easily; that's well within its range. It's not flashy, but it is still extremely useful in this type of warfare." |

If Ukraine could even deliver an airstrike like dropping napalm canisters from 100 meters off the deck doing .7 Mach onto a trench, I'm sure they would already be doing it, they have a smorgasbord of munitions to choose from, from some of the top/major Nato nations. They are NOT lacking in knowing they are doing the best they can with what they have. . And just like you described. Ukraine is using a weapon like that. HIMARS. And stacking bodies with it if they thought risking a fighter and pilot to drop some cans of gas was better they would be doing it |

Napalm cannisters ( I had to look this up) is 750 pounds, 100 gallons of fuel. Its a good idea if you don't have smart munitions, and have air superiority You need something that lifts it, like a plane, flying flat, low, fast, to spread it around. That's not really survivable. This isnt Vietnam or Iwo Jima. The best warhead I could devise would be like a bouncing betty, going straight down. 100 percent agree.. I sort of wonder if Ukraine has any fuel air explosive dumb bombs. BLU-96/B 2000lb Fuel-Air Explosive (FAE II) Bomb |

ISW assessment for November 22nd.
https://www.understandingwar.org/backgrounder/russian-offensive-campaign-assessment-november-22 The Russian military is likely experiencing problems in replenishing its arsenal of high-precision weapons systems. Ukrainian Air Force Command spokesperson Yuriy Ignat stated on November 21 that Russia is experiencing problems with the supply of Iranian missiles to the Russian Federation.[17] Ignat speculated that diplomatic resources, negotiations, or other countries’ influence may have impacted Iran’s ability or willingness to supply Russia with ballistic missiles.[18] ISW has previously assessed that Russia is increasingly dependent on Iran for the provision of high-precision weapons systems.[19] Ignat also reported that Russia lacks the necessary components produced abroad to support the manufacturing of the number of missiles it needs for its campaign against Ukrainian infrastructure.[20] Reznikov stated that Russia manufactured 120 Kalibr and Kh-101 missiles and 360 Kh-35 missiles since February 2022, allowing the Russian military to partially offset the heavy use of these weapons systems in massive strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure.[21] Russia likely significantly strained the existing capacity of its military industry in producing these missiles.
