There are other systems that can direct the beam of EMP energy and fire off hundreds of times as well on some of our cruise missiles. Look up CHAMP and HiJINKS if your interested. I think the EMP thing is overblown in regards to US military equipment, especially our military satellite systems. They were all made with some heavy EMP protection. I can only state in the most general of terms, that even our optical military satellites have serious protection from space based nuclear blasts. |
