Why, so I can play dress-up and run around in the yard like a cul-de-sac commando?

View Quote I’m not a NV fan because I’m a thermal fan, but NV is second to thermal, and immeasurably better than nothing. It’s obvious you’ve no experience with either. Bad stuff happens at night a hell of a lot more frequently than during daylight. |

I wish tnvc had a “night vision noob package”. Like a monocular, a mount, a bump helmet, weights and whatever the hell else I would need to open the box and see in the dark.
Or I could just not be so fucking lazy and do a couple hours of research in the nv thread. |

I'll gain a pair of nvgs in the coming future. Probley won't have to pay for them.
Eta- I already have a nice thermal. |

Amen, I bought mine 5 years ago and have about 2 hours of use on it, best $3k+ I ever spent.

Thermal has its limitations too.

I got my bridge mount a couple days ago.
PVS14 on one eye, FLIR Breach on the other. Wouldn't want to be without either. |

Ok.
What should I get? Do I need a special helmet mount and stuff? Seriously, tell me exactly what to get lol. Maybe a couple options for various price ranges |

Or buy this from my personal favorite NV supplier. Who I have used several times. Here, all you have to decide is what tube to get. |

What do you recommend? Mono, goggles, scope? I am in the market but don't know where to start. I wish I knew someone local that I could try them out.
