I have seen many posts here and elsewhere that pertain to Jefferds switching parties and throwing control to the Socialists.  Many of the statements I have read say "what do you expect from a state that has the only socialist in congress, Bernie Sanders(I).

Go to this site http://www.dsausa.org/dsa.html  You can use the search function to search their site.  Top icon bar, magnifing glass.  Type in Progressive Caucus.  You will see to links, clcik #1 that is titled Progressive Caucus.  Here is the link http://www.netprogress.org/  It ends up re-directing you here http://www.ips-dc.org/netprogress/  When that page opens click on Congressional Progressive Caucus, then Members of the Caucus.  It takes you here http://bernie.house.gov/pc/members.asp here you will find a list of the 56 members of Congress who are card carrying members of the Democratic Socialist of America.

Before the election, there was a direct link right on the front page of the DSA-USA website.  A direct link!!  These people can not get elected if they say what they really are.  If they could, why does Bernie Sanders run as an Independant instead of a Socialist?  Why are these 56 people who are trying their best to enact a Socialist agenda in this country running as Democrats?  Take a good look at that list of names.  Most are powerful people in the Congress and they are all huge gun grabbers.

They use the word progressive to disguise what they are.  People are'nt to sure what that is(the sheep anyway) but Socialism has a negative conotation in America, which it deserves, so they can't use that term.  Bernie Sanders is the only one who will openly admit what he is.  Evidently the state of VT is fully of Socialists.

So guys/gals.  Point this out to everyone you know.  Don't use the words Democrat and or Liberal in discussions or writtings anymore.  Use the word that tells what these people are about, call them by what they are.  Pure unabashed Socialists

I've seen this list before and it is sickening to think that people voted for these scumbags. The problem is to let their voters learn who they are. If the voters heard they were card carring Socialist, maybe some would reconsider their vote. Just my $.02 worth

I don't think this is really new news to a lot of people.  Since about 1990, when I really started to be concerned with politics, I have always thought that the term "Democrat" in the modern American political sense was really synonomous with "Socialist" and "Communist".

While I know this is not technically true, realistically, they all want the same end goal...   my guns, my money, and my freedom.

Haha lantos and waxman. What a big surprise.

You can openly be part of a socialist organization, but any ties to a militia or patriot group gets an immediate vilification by the media. The path is simple: stand your ground now or lose the Republic forever.

From the home page of
Rosa DeLauro
(MEMBER, CONNECTICUT-03)

In the past, DeLauro has supported legislation that banned assault weapons and established the Brady five-day waiting period for gun purchases. In just five years, the Brady Law has prevented 250,000 felons from purchasing firearms. She has also supported legislation that helped put 100,000 more police on America's streets to reduce violence.

Here's the good part:

These provisions will not infringe on the rights of law abiding citizens to purchase or use a gun, and they are reasonable actions to take to protect the entire community.

What's the difference between Jeffery Dahmer and Charles Manson? Many things; charm, inteligence, approach, habbits etc... Is there any difference that matters? NO! They both suck the life out of people. What's the differnce between Republicans and Democrats? Many things; charm, inteligence, approach, habbits etc... Is there any difference that matters? NO! They both suck the life out of people.
There is not one member of congress I can think of that does not promote Socialism in one form or another. Anyone that disagrees does not understand what socialism is. After all the Republicans and Democrats in office do we still have social security, wellfare, disability, business licensing, IRS, WTO, UN, NATO, gun legislation, medicare, medicaid, federal reserve, abortion, governent utilities, affirmative action, government grants, progressive tax, sales/property tax, national parks, etc...etc...etc...
All of them make me sick.
Don't be a party member. Think for yourself.
Have you ever read the Communist Manifesto? It lists the ten ideas of a communist nation; we fit all ten.
Thanks for the links, they will come in handy with some work I am doing.

You hit the nail on the head. We are going down fast. I heard about this before. Believe me though, they are many more people in both houses of congress, in the state governments,  and in both parties that believe in the socialist ideology, but they just don't make it official. There are only a few left, like Ron Paul, who still believe in liberty.

Our current system is more fascist then socialist, but there's not a fart's difference between them.  Ditto the current two-party system.  We're on the early stages of a revolt, especially when the voters are split right down the middle, and most people don't vote anyway.

We need to institute "Black Squadrons" like they used to in EL SALVADOR and CHILE. Any suspicious PINKO gathering will get the good news.

When my liberties are trampled on I get radical.

I have a series of three essays about socialism and socialists written by a very bright guy with a very dry sense of humor (not me - I wish I'd written them) that very accurately explains when you should call someone a socialist and what, EXACTLY, it means.  It also explains why socialism does not and will not work here.

If anybody is interested, I'd be more than happy to e-mail them a copy.  They are FAR too long to post here, and I don't have copyright on the material.

Yes that is my name. I spend so much of my time and effort fighting against the Newdeal, socialism and such that when I first registered with ar15.com that was all that was on my mind. I'm not very creative with names.
And thankyou for that link. It will come in great.
By the way. Your name is much more fitting.

its time for a change, a change of governing principles, less government.

seriously though, its not the "party" that is important, but the ideal. the libertarian party presents a fourum that exudes the idea of less government=more freedom. come on in and promote liberty and self-responsibility.

After having watched C-SPAN for several years I believe there is only a difference in degree not kind to the political parties in America.
The demos want all of your freedom now, the republicans just want a little at a time.
There is no left or right of freedom, you are free or you are moving away from freedom. Think about it, when was there a law passed lately that gave you more freedom? I could go on but I seem to bore most of the people on this site.

Ar10er,

I think you are wrong.

Yes, the Democrats want your freedom now, but I think the problem with Republicans is that they are feeding the crocodile. They will not take the offensive, and think everyone is basically decent. So they "compromise" and practise "bipartisanship". They do not take our freedoms a little at a time, they sacrifice them a little at a time. Deep down Republicans want to be liked, and think that bending over for Democrats will make them popular. However, just like for those insecure sluts we all knew in high school or college, it doesn't garner a lot of respect.

Stupid whores.

"Compromise" = "Incremental Giveaway..."

Interesting how the Left often says we are "unwilling to compromise."  Last time I checked, a compromise means BOTH sides give up something - what are we being given in exchange for our sacrifices?  Nothing.

For DiFi (my senator - for the moment...) I offered this compromise -
"If you can prove to me, beyond any shadow of a doubt on my part, that EACH and EVERY firearm on the face of this planet that is not currently in my possession has been thoroughly and irrevocably destroyed, and the technology, means, and knowledge to manufacture them anew has been removed from the world as a whole, then I will be entirely too happy to hand over my own sidearm.
"However, you and I both know this will never happen.  I also know that I do not make enough nor am I important enough to have a personal bodyguard - let alone several!  I also am willing (unlike others) to take personal responsibility for my own safety and security, and that of my family.  I also know that there is NO ONE else on the planet that will lift that burden from me, it is mine and mine alone.
"Senator, take your socialist agenda elsewhere.  I imagine it would do well in Europe - the people there are used to the rantings and misplaced idealism of socialist representatives and you drivel would be business as usual for them.  You can take the Clintons, Ted Kennedy, Charles Schumer, and anyone else that even THINKS like them with you when you go.
"Please don't keep me waiting for news of your departure."
