OK, if they're just gonna be for classes and you aren't a tactical gear queer , then cheap sport-style pads are great. $8 at wallyworld.

If the class is a 5 day advanced carbine or rifle tactics class, or you're some kinda operator, get the real thing. Or if your kinda old and feeble...

"I have this.....uhhh......friend, who needs knee pads for.......ummmmm......training. Yeah, training!"

It's ok son, we all have our kinks, yours is giving oral and that's ok. No one's judging you.

Now, onto the question. Cheap ones work fine, it's your lips and throat you need to take care of with a hobby like that. Chapstick and some honey and lemon tea will do ya wonders.

This begs the question: how the hell do you know what works?

I think you broke my GAYDAR.

Best knee pads are BJ Extremes.

that what brad told me to get, the ones with the buckles not the velcro. They are the same ones that guys laying floor use so you might even find them locally

I thought you got new kneepads when you got promoted to staff?

I bought some CLC kneepads from Home Depot on Day 2 of a carbine class I took last year.  My only regret is the amount of abuse I put my knees through on Day 1 before buying them.  Very comfortable and only about $15, saved my knees big time.

Ask Monica about her "presidential kneepads."

Alta, got them from Lightfighter, they sent the ones with velcro though.......

They seemed well made for the $20 they charged.  I've seen more expensive ones that looked worse.

I got a set of 3-color Desert Altas, knee and elbow, recently for very little ($20 I think?).  Very worth it.
