You know you really like them. Just go on, admit it.

I'm not afraid, I'll admit it!

Drives Gloftoe up the wall, though.

Sometimes I'll listen to The Carpenters, Barry Manilow, and Neil Diamond, too.

Not just yeah, but hell yeah!

We listen to Dell Musicmatch at work 'cause down here in the basement where they hide all of the ugly pharmacists, no radio signals shall penetrate.  You can select from many different artists / genres, and we have listened to DISCO BABY all day today.

I've heard and enjoyed every Bee Gees song known to man in the last 11 hours.

Also, don't forget that they were named after a very cool airplane.

There was an airplane names Brothers Gibb? Riiiight.

BEE GEES
Their name was not derived from 'Brothers Gibb' as most people assume. Two friends that helped them out early on were Bill Goode and a disc jockey named Bill Gates.... ('B. G.'s)

About the only thing cool about the BeeGee's is that they used to party with Led Zepplin.

FUCK DISCO!

I'd freely admit it if I did, but I don't, so there. Anything else said like that would be lying.

Right now I'm listening to "Mexican Radio" by Wall of Voodoo. That should give you an idea of where my tastes lie.....

It's true. The older you get, stuff like this grows on you. Most of the music I could not stand in high school gets me feely a little nostalgic now.

Hell yeah I turn it up, I even jammed to grumpy old men when they played staying alive. A lil kc and the sunshine band, earth wind and fire make that ass move to the groove.

they weren't bad.
one of the last bands in this country that wasn't sold to us through extensive market reseach, computer voice editing and worthless pop idols.

Having said that i can only think of two songs of theirs that i acctually like

Neil Diamond is okay, if only for the reason that he was in "Saving Silverman".

Hell yeah, I liked the BG's way back when, and still like em. Dont know which one is which, dead or alive, but them and Micheal McDonald both are a-ok with me. Had a lot of Soul/Funk in their sound. Chased a little tail off both of them.

It seems to me all the "oldtimers" post in this thread.

I do like some of their songs.

Personally, I don't care what bands, what singers, what music....if my ears like them, then I listen to them.

I don't like disco, never did, and I used to play roller hockey, so I know how to skate.

If they were named after the airplane, they reversed the syllables.

Airplane = GeeBee

1932 - Gee-Bee Super Sportster R-1

The Gee-Bee R1 was designed and built specifically for the 1932 Thompson Trophy Race. Built by the Grandville Brothers Aircraft Company in Springfield, Massachusetts. The brothers had built many previous racing planes, but the R-1 was one of the first aircraft designed and built with the engineer's full understanding to take advantage of performance gains, requiring a superbly skilled pilot. A widely known engineering fact was the ideal shape for a body moving through a fluid was a teardrop with a ratio between length and diameter of 3 to 3.5. This prompted the Grandville’s and chief engineer Howell Miller to design the ideal teardrop that had an engine, wings, landing gear, cockpit and a tail attached to spoil the airflow. The result was the R-1, with a fuselage seventeen feet nine inches and a diameter of fifty and five eighths inches, powered by a Pratt and Whitney R1340 developing around 800 horsepower.

I believe theabove should say 'Granville Brothers'.

Disco Duck
Rick Dees & His Cast of Idiots

Went to a party the other night
All the ladies were treating me right
Moving my feet to the disco beat
How in the world could I keep my seat

All of a sudden I began to change
I was on the dance floor acting strange
Flapping my arms I began to cluck
Look at me..I'm the disco duck

[dd] Ah get down mama, I've got to have me a woman, ha ha ha ha ha
Disco, disco duck
[dd] Got to have me a woman
Disco, disco duck
[dd] Oh get down mama
Try your luck, don't be a cluck, disco
[dd] Disco
Disco
[dd] Disco
Disco
[dd+bs] Disco
Disco disco duck
[dd] All right
Disco disco duck
[dd] Ah get down mama, oh mama shake your tail feather, ha ha ha ha ha

When the music stopped I returned to my seat
But there's no stoppin' a duck and his beat
So I got back up to try my luck
Why look

[dd] Everybody's doin' the
[dd+bs] Disco, disco duck
[dd+bs] Disco, disco duck
Try your luck
[dd] Wave to me
Don't be a cluck
[dd] I'm so happy to be here
Disco
[ep] Thank you duck
Disco
[ep] For gettin' down
Disco disco disco
[ep] Thank you so very much
Disco duck
[dd] You're welcome
Disco Disco Duck
Try your luck, don't be a cluck, disco, disco, disco..

[dd=Donald Duck voice] [bs=background singers] [ep=Elvis voice]

Maurice Gibbs was a big fan of guns.
WHen he passed, he had one of the largest collections of HK guns in the country.
He also ran a public paintball range and store.

I like some of their music.

Yea Disco sucked and wrecked the BeeGee's career but before that mistake they has some really good music.

"Got to get a message to you." was kick ass in it's day.  Their early stuff was actually good.

Then came John Trivolta and disco........The BeeGees and Frampthon guessed wrong and followed the trend.
