From my uneducated perspective, I still think the V280 should get the nod, since a lot of tilt rotor lessons have already been learned.
The defiant X just seems huge for some reason. But if there are economies of scale in getting both it and the other FARA/FLRAA in the same setup, that also seems like it would make sense. |

Ugly yes. But better in every aspect from the UH-60. The White house should go with this instead of the VH-92A |

The Army has over 2,000 blackhawks. No way you can replace 2,000 $15m blackhawk with a $50-100m fancy aircraft, there just isn't money for it.

It needs to be modular and scaleable, with mission-specific modules that can be on- or off-loaded. And it needs to be Navalized. And it needs to be optimized for all environments, from desert to Arctic, but especially for the littorals. And it needs to be highly automated to reduce crew. And all the services should get a variant of it.
