I have taken up buying broken Banshees and two stroke 90s era dirt bikes and rebuilding them and riding the snot out of them. Its unlimited fun for my family. Here is a video of my son on his Banshee that I built for him. Its probably waaaay too fast for him as he had never ridden anything before until this year when I got him on a 1995 KX250 and now this. He loves the Banshees more than the bikes. I love the brrrap brrap of a two stroke.

Currently? Very complicated boardgames I can play by myself (no, it’s not as lonely and pitiful as it sounds, I’m stuck in a front bedroom all day with down time while waiting for computer runs to finish, and it keeps me from getting bored). When I’m not stuck inside working from home for months on end with very young children who aren’t fit to take anywhere without constant supervision? I like camping, hiking, and traveling. Would like to add hunting to that one day (yes, gun-adjacent, but more than just guns. But I need someone to help me learn the ropes).

I used to enjoy noisy walks in the desert, but I'm scared to shoot up too much of my precious ammo now. |

Chopping firewood.
Seriously, I fucking love it. When I didn't have a fireplace, I would go to the local wood dump with my mauls and split rounds, then leave for other folks. I would do this everyday after work. Wet, dry, softwood, hardwood I hand split it with a smile. Except Eucalyptus, fuck that noise, might as well chop concrete. |

Until just recently I flew giant scale radio control airplanes. From 33% to 42% scale. Gas engines of 100cc to 150cc swinging a carbon fiber prop at 5.5k rpm. Wingspan of between 100" to 144". I don't any longer. Before anyone ask, never lost one. The worst I've done is a smaller plane I had one elevator servo lock up and pancaked the landing gear but flew it again later the same day.

I am being held up with how cold my shop has been. So I'm thinking of putting in a pellet stove in the shop. I just went out to work on it, but spent an hour and a half cleaning my work space. |
