I'd like to suggest adding both "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress", by Robert Heinlein, and "We", by Yevgeny Zamyatin to the list of good dystopian literature.
"We" was one of the earliest novels in that sort of style and was said to have influenced Orwell, Huxley, etc. Great book.
