Sitting here watching my daughter build with her LEGOs and experienced a bit of a panic attack for the first time ever. Prior to the past month, I never worried about the country she would inherit, but now I am saddened by the possibility she may grow up in a totalitarian crap hole worse than Russia. How do you parents get through life knowing the world you leave your kids may not be better than the one you grew up in?

What's in the gun cabinet? 5 matching somethings?
But yes, I do worry about that very much. |
|
The biggest failure of my life. My children will not know freedom anymore, nor will their children or their children's children. We are in for decades of darkness and despair.
|
|
In a hundred years, what is happening now will be old news. The cycle will restart when those who think they're in charge lose control. Look at former east bloc countries that are freer than we will be. They remember communism, while very few in this country have lived it.
I'd also like to see how they think they'll control the very rural areas. |
|
Weighs heavily on me every day. Only thing I can do is prepare them for this world as best as I can and help set them up for success as best as I can.
|
|
All parents from the beginning of time have worried about the world their kids would inherit and tried to make it better than they had.
It's the reason civilization exists. I think their future is considerably more fucked than just an oppressive government, but I do what all parents have always done, try to build the best world I can for them to live in, even if it's just the little pieces I can control. And prepare them best I can for the realities of what I can't change. |
|
I do worry. All I can do is teach them right and how to take proper precautions.
I hope the world is a better place for them. |

OP -
You need to get involved. Whether that be on a local in your town / city level or into volunteerism or fill in the blank. As someone whose been in your shoes, doing nothing but wallowing/worrying will do your health in and make you feel terrible. Trust me, get an outlook and take that passion into something you can control if need be. Quoted: It took you until the past month to worry? View Quote No doubt |

I have worried since my first girl was born in 2010.
It is not going to get any better anymore. Are those mosins in the cabinet? |
|
|
You think your free now?
There it not much you can do that does not involve government regulation. That's been true for quiet some time now. |

Simple, we must stop worrying and start acting, it is up to us to work to restore America to her former glory. The reason we got here is because of complacency and hand wringing... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UHmwz6Z5KA&ab_channel=BillWhittle

The best thing you can do is to pass down your values, because Reagan was right.
If home schooling is a possibility, I would weigh that as a high priority. The Judaeo-Christian value system is baked into our Constitution, the founding fathers incorporated the best of the best lessons of civilizations before us to engineer this Constitutional Republic. Passing along this knowledge, and the desire to live as free citizens is essential if our system as we've known it shall eventually be restored. |

I find myself posting this often recently: Adjutórium nóstrum ? in nómine Dómini. Our help is ? in the name of the Lord.
There's a reason we call this life a vale of tears. It's the history of mankind and it is so due to our fall. I recognize that I cannot possibly be in control of everything and that this life is temporary. Most importantly, I try to hope in God's grace and mercy. Actually, as bad as things appear to be right now, things have been worse and most evil empires are relatively short-lived. God will win in the end. Take your fear and worry, and turn it into prayer and action for God's glory. |

Things are not beyond salvation.
We just have to prevent Amnesty and hold the line. If they grant a pathway to citizenship for tens of millions of illegals and amp up legal immigration even higher then you will be right to be so pessimistic, but for now there is still hope. |

I am so glad we elected to not have kids. I am concerned for my nieces and nephews but not as much as I would be for my own.

American Jeffersonian democracy took millions of years to develop and was never fully replicated. Think about the LONG struggle just from the Magna Carta to the Constitution. If we lose this Republic it could be thousands of years before the light of liberty will shine again. That is why it is so important to fight Amnesty. |

In Italy the State can keep bringing charges against someone for the same offense over and over until they get a conviction. Freedom of speech is heavily restricted in many nations. The right to keep and bear arms isn’t even acknowledged by any national Constitution outside the USA as far as I’m aware. The USA is so incredibly unique and rare. |

You do the best you can. Frankly, I feel pity for people without kids. They've elected to stay in the shallow end of life's pool.
My 3 kids are in their early 20s. I tried to teach them useful skills, and we guided them to pursue useful educations. Daughter just graduated with a degree in biochemistry/biophysics. She's working at a biotech startup. I think she'll be ok. She also has extensive (14 years) martial arts training, and has worked with me as an Appleseed instructor, so she knows her way around firearms. My twin boys are juniors in college. One is majoring in molecular biology, the other one forestry. Both are skills that will be in demand in the future. While two of the kids are more squishy regarding their politics, I think they're heading out in the world with good toolboxes. And fortunately, I have the ability to offer a financial safety net if they run into trouble. |

I'm wondering how to handle this as well. My son is 4.5 yrs old and daughter 2.5 yrs old. I feel an overwhelming level of anxiety knowing what is most likely going to happen in the next 4-8 years. I've studied history my entire life, and as we all know, it's bound to repeat itself very soon. My father warned me about the NWO when I was young. I'm already teaching my kids hard work is important, God is important, and communism/socialism is evil. They don't grasp it yet obviously, but hopefully it pays off.

If the nation of our founders is irretrievably lost...it will be because we turned our backs on God & His Son.
To loose your salvation is to loose life for eternity. If a father and his children are in Christ Jesus then that family is in God's family forever...never to be separated. |

Maybe your husband will do something about it. I told my girls years ago that a day may come where my life is worth less than their freedom. Always hold out hope, but be ready to step up and step in. |

Living under the chinavirus nonsense isn’t free either. People love wearing their masks. These sheep out here don’t want to be free. It’s hard knowing our children will probably be experiencing hard times, but such is the case with most people throughout history. We’ve been sheltered in this country for a long time but all too comfortable to turn the blind eye while Uncle Sam did the dirty work. Everyone will have to get their hands dirty at some point, freedom isn’t free.

For me the party stopped a long time ago.
The patriot act kicked it all off and its been downhill since then. |

I am glad I don’t have kids but worry a lot for my 5yo nephew. If there is fighting back to be done, I would like it to happen now, so he doesn’t have to

I thought the same thing while watching TV the morning of 9/11, with my then-6-month-old son sitting on my lap. "What kind of world did we bring you into?", I wondered.
Now I just wonder if every generation feels that way when they have kids. |

I plan to control the media they see and home school.
Works for the Amish. It will work for me. Freedom is easy to achieve. Freedom and monetary wealth gained legally not so much. I plan to teach them that the fruit of the land is more valuable to them then what the government and media corporations push. |
