It has demonstrated the ability to expand at low velocity and heavy clothing time and time again. If anything can make it fail, perhaps an extra long barrel and crazy fast speed can make it fragment. Now we know, it is still a pistol round. In a heavy, large gun. What if you also shot it in a 5 inch 1911 at gel, and we could see if AR-pistol style guns are completely dumb, large, heavy, expensive range toys. |

165gr @ 1100, out of a 10.25” barrel?
That ain’t fast. My 200gr loads do that out of a 5” 1911... ETA: ok, it’s 1400 FPS, not 1100. Still, 1480 from a 10.25” barrel when the box says 1400 (likely out of the 5” 1911)... PCCs, well, suck. |

I picked up some 135 gr Underwood HP ammo. Box says 1600 FPS. Any chance of a test on that stuff?

Hell, Underwood 200gr xtp is 1250fps.
The real takeaway is that 10mm loaded for pistol sucks in an SBR. |

Reloads, 185gr XTPs at over 1,100 in .45 Auto out of a government model is a fair bit of persuasion. Get both. |
