https://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2020/05/29/derek-chauvin-arrested-george-floyd-death-minneapolis-police-officer/ MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Fired Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin has been arrested four days after George Floyd’s fatal arrest that sparked protests, rioting and outcry across the city and nation. On Friday, John Harrington, commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, announced that Chauvin was taken into custody by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. Chauvin is the former officer in the video seen around the world with his knee on Floyd’s neck. He’d been with Minneapolis police for 19 years. It was not immediately clear what the expected charges Chauvin could face are. Answers will likely be provided by Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman, as he has scheduled a press conference at 1 p.m. concerning a “major development” in the case. |

Didn’t the DA say something about additional evidence that would get charges thrown out?
Did they ever back that up? Seems highly unlikely given what’s on tape out on the internet. |
I bet he's relieved as shit to be in the safety of police custody.
Will he choke himself to death in an unfurnished cell?
Only time will tell! |
THe other officers should be arrested and charged as well as they let it happen.....

I'd better hurry and go steal that 70" TV I saw at Target before things calm down!

Will be charged with manslaughter, plead down to reckless endangerment, then sentence modified to jay walking

he has had 18 prior complaints of violence i just saw on fox news

Day late and a dollar short.
If any of us had killed a man on video we would be in cuffs and in a cell ASAP. |
“The fastest we ever processed a case against a police officer.”
4 days? If anyone else did this, they would have been arrested same day. No credibility. |

View Quote No, he actually walked that back a bit, said it was misinterpreted. Just wants to gather all the evidence possible. |

About time. The cop is an asshole and should pay the price for his actions.

And I got complaints all the time because someone didn't like that they got a ticket. They'd pull the recording and everyone including the complaining driver were chum and friendly. Complaint doesn't equate to valid. Find the sustained complaints, not the total, then you have something. |

Way to late. This shit isn't going to burn out for quite a while. Some bumbling around in the dark motherfuckers must have been magooing the fuck out of the videos for four days to finally, grudgingly come to this carefully arrived at decision. lol. Clown shoes.

Quoted: He won't be. He'll get manslaughter. Which will probably cause madness. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Wait til he gets acquitted, not even Marge Gunderson will be able to stop the madness. He won't be. He'll get manslaughter. Which will probably cause madness. They will probably charge him with 1st degree anyway, since it will roll in all lesser included offenses like 2nd & 3rd degree murder and manslaughter. Then let him plead to 3rd or see what the evidence will support at trial. |

just wait until the DA fucks up the case and the cop is aquitted

I think the instability caused by the Coronavirus lockdown is the instigator of the riots and Floyd's murder is just the excuse. It's gonna be a helluva summer.
