I've been wanting to do this for some time, answer questions about DPMS and possibly dispel some myths.

For what it's worth I was employed by DPMS/Remington from 2005-2018 and seen a lot of "behind the curtain"...

Please, if you want this thread to go somewhere don't post BS or ramble on about unrelated crap.

*NOTE* I will monitor this thread when I can and do the best to answer questions.

How would you rate the quality of their rifles compared to other major manufacturers? Say like Ruger, PSA, etc?

13 years in. Why did you leave? I'm not sure when Remington/Cerberus/Freedom Group bought DPMS out, but do you believe QC degraded after that?

Well, for MANY years we supplied the "top tier" companies with parts. Marty Daniel was one of the biggest customers back in the day.

I would say that we built a good reliable rifle for the money and had several small contracts with government agencies most of the time.

Right before the bankruptcy my position "was eliminated" as well as many other really talented employees.

They and bushmaster weren't at SHOT. Not on the Remington group signs at the show.
CDNN has a ton of DPMS/bushmaster parts.
I don't know if there's been an official announcement but everyone is burying them.

16" LR-308 is my primary whitetail rifle - taken 4 with it to date, the thing is a tack driver even if it is a little portly.

I have some of the original guns. Large frame and small. All have been excellent shooters. Large frame .308s are picky eaters, but solid with the right ammo. Good luck man.

I don't have any questions, but I can say this - I have had a lot of DPMS Parts in the past, as well as complete guns. I never had any issues out of any of those.

I can't say that about so of the other manufacturers that I've owned.
