Let me lay out a scenario and hear listers opinions on what the thing to do would be in this case. Let's say you are a man, and your sister has a habit of picking pitiful men. No further say that one of these men mouths off about killing your sister or another member of your family. Now suppose further that in response an individual straightens this no good man out (without guns, of course) and is charged for the incident. Let's say the extent of the incidents is snatching the sad-sack out of bed and throwing him out, and letting him know that his death will result if he ever even thinks those thoughts again.
Now, this under current law (don't ask me to justify it) is considered domestic violence even though this is a sisters boyfriend. Now, in this case if convicted, the man charged would have to surrender firearms, and would lose the right to possess any in the future.
What is the moral or righteous thing to do for the gun-owning man who thinks that it is his responsibility to obey Creator and protect his family?
