There's nothing I can do to help, I know no one in Switzerland. Regardless, best wishes for a positive, pro-freedom vote result.

I would think the fact that Brexit has been stymied for so long despite the will of the people desiring an exit from the EU would show how hard it is for anyone to get removed, especially one who contributes disproportionately highly.
Good luck. |

the good news is you guys will always have your wonderful army knives

Good luck and God bless!
The EU is a criminally power hungry entity. |

Take them up n the threat to kick you out. If Brexit shows anything it’s that being dropped is an empty threat.
|
|
That is really unfortunate. As you're probably well aware, many gun owning Americans really admire the Swiss. What a blow.

Best of luck to you. I hope that common sense (real common sense, not liberal bullshit common sense) prevails.

Prayers for you guys. We're at the point where we are going to have to use violence to solve this shit people. You all realize that, right?

Fucking commie globalists are taking over everywhere.

As some of you may know, the EU directive on firearms has been implemented in the Schengen treaty countries for 3 years now, and the EU is forcing Switzerland to comply threatening us to be kicked out. Our Governement and parliament has accepted to pass a law with so called exceptions regarding Switzerland to comply. The true story is that there is no exceptions and that the new law makes the right to own semi automatic guns a privilege linked to an activity (sport, collection, etc) . All semi automatic handguns holding more than 20 rounds and rifles holding more than 10 will go into the banned category, which will only be accessible with a reason (sport , collection etc) . All these firearms will need to declared and they would be added to a registery, making every gun owner known by every EU law enforcement agency, with a list of who owns what and where he lives.. This law is supposed to be tightened in 2 years and then every 5 years. And since it does nothing against terrorism, and terrorism will still happened, it will be tightened- As you see, this is pretty catastrophic regarding our rights. We did not want this new law and collected 125k signatures within 3 months (50k required) to have a national referendum on this, to counter our treasonous government and parliament. The problem is that only one political party (conservative SVP) has been supporting the referendum, and that it weights about 35% of the vote in Switzerland. Which means in order to win we must get the vote of about 15% of centrist and people from the right, but who are not anti EU for economic reasons. We have been campaigning towards that. It's a tough battle yet we won every rational argument. This law was enacted in Europe to supposedly fight terrorism, yet we had our own governement representatives admit live on Tv that this law will have zero effect on terrorism or criminality. their only argument left, and which they have been repeating over and over is that if we don't accept it, we will be kicked out of Schengen, and the SIS police cooperation systems of the EU. They have had huge campaign financing to repeat this lie over and over from economy suisse, and we had to resort to political guérilla warfare and grassroots mouvements to counter it. Lots of simple citizens like me spent thousand of $ and countless hours making and distributing videos and memes over social medias, printing poster and flyers and then distributing thousands of them in mailboxes in the last few weeks- we have spent every penny from every gun right or shooting association. And yet it was a drop into the sea compared to the tens of millions injected by our ennemies from économie suisse and the EU lobby. The possibility of being kicked out of Schengen is non existant when you know Switzerland is the 4th economic partner of the EU which exports for 124 billions into Switzerland- we are only 0.2% of the people in Schengen, yet we pay for a whole 4% of their SIS system. Every day, we provide 350k jobs for people from the EU. To think the EU would give that up on a principle (which most of them don't even follow) is absolutely ridiculous- yet people are being lied to and blackmailed with that. Tomorrow we vote and the people will have the last word on this. I spent the last 2 days literally contacting everybody I know to remind them to go vote. And yet we don't know if it's going to be enough. The polls give us 35% of the votes and 65% for the yes. Yet we know these are rigged as well, to discourage people. i did everything that was possible for me to preserve the rights I was born with and that I would like my little 3yo nephew to have in the future. But now I can only hope for the best. Please. If you know anyone in Switzerland, call them and remind them to vote NO to the new gun law tomorrow, and otherwise pray for us. We might need it. If we win it's going to be a huge victory on par with trump and brexit in terms of surprise. it is possible ! We will win. we have to win ! Thank you for your attention. . View Quote |

I wish you all the best. You're right every country that falls gives the gun grabbers more power to pressure other countries.
If this keeps happening the only people that will have guns will be government and terrorists. Sincerely, I hope your government sides with law abiding citizens. |

Rights? Doesn’t appear you have them if they can be taken away. Not being snarky. They can try this here too....if you don’t comply their laws mean a lot less, maybe nothing. Sanctuary!

Best of luck to you on your fight. It sounds like you have done a great job standing up for your rights. I surely hope that you prevail.

"Threatening to kick you out"? Shit, demand to leave and sees what happens.

The rise of totalitarianism around the globe is truly frightening and anyone who thinks disarmament of the populace isn't key to this doesn't understand history,I hope for the best for you OP but I hold little faith for a good outcome.

Praying for you for sure. I have Swiss heritage and the William Tell mythos runs strong... This could be catastrophic if it falls.
All I can say beyond that is urging non-compliance if it passes. Let it fail like the Canadian gun registry did. |

What's the overall "vibe" there? Does it look like it will be voted down?

Why Switzerland would voluntarily enter into an organization of countries increasingly populated by lowlifes is a mystery.
Find the appropriate politicians responsible for selling you out and let everyone know precisely who they are. Names & pictures and bios. |

So if you don't comply the EU is going to kick you out?
How is this not a win win? |
