I have lived all my life in Ohio and can assure you there ARE hillbillys here! Some native, some transplanted.
SOme "poor white trash" are exactly as described. More than a few hillbillys are good hard working folks who live in the hills. Big difference. I happen to like hillbillys but have no use for "trash" - white, black or green. City dudes are even worse in many cases. |

BTW, Cy, slight correction it's Readen, Writen, and Rt 23 and alternate instead of the three Rs, they are taught the three Cs, Cinncinatti, Columbus, and Cleveland.[:D] The one that always puzzled me was "You can hire one Hillbilly or three Clevelanders." and this was typically followed by "Stupid Hillbillies".
